I am working on my project using with regex method, but I have difficulty to get the proper strings in each line which it doesn't work in the right way. However I want to use a different way, like find the regex value then highlight the full text from one line, copy and paste the full text to input them in the label text. For e.g:
I've been working straight since yesterday trying to get this to work. I'm a noob to RegEx and I've tested out about 5 different RegEx "builders" but each of them require you to navigate through the options to build the Regex...each of them has failed when I try to use them.Is there an application out there free/paid where you select the line you want to grab and the RegEx is auto generated from that highlight rather than having to try to build the line of code? [code]
I am using a Formview for Change Password funciton in my project. It works OK with update and validations.I am now trying to add code for Strong Password as follows:
Private Sub FormView1_ItemUpdating(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.FormViewUpdateEventArgs) Handles FormView1.ItemUpdating Dim password As String = CType(FormView1.FindControl("PasswordTextBox"), TextBox).Text Dim score As PasswordScore = PasswordAdvisor.CheckStrength(password)
[Code]...
In the class, the Match.Success always returns "False" and also, irrespective of the validity of the password entered, it gets updated in the database. Is there any way to control the Update function of Formview, so that the password is updated only if it is valid?
I have nine pictures that I need to animate -I need to use the ToString method and a counter to concatenate a file name into a string variable from the Image.FromFile method. Once the counter reaches its maximum value, and the last picture is displayed, the counter should be reset to zero or one depending on how the first image file has been name. Also a static counter variable should be incremented in the time routine. what I have so far -- I know what I have to do; however, I just do not know how to code this properly.. Right now I have this going thru a button procedure but it needs to go through a timer.
Using VB.NET, Is there a way to do this RegEx call in 1 step... instead of 2-3? I'm trying to find the word "bingo", or whatever is between the START and END words, but then also inside the inner FISH and CAKES words. My final results should be just "bingo".
Dim s1 As String = "START (random string) FISH bingo CAKES (random string) END"
I'm here again asking stupid questions. I don't have really get this but i ask again but i try explain all better. Here is a website link and i want catch string from here. Look page's source code and find first what starts <td> someword </td> I use this code for catch word from page. Visual Basic Express 2008
It even indicates if the string I'm seeking is in the middle of a line. But what I would like is for the routine to highlight the line that that string is in and ensure visible. I can do that with another routine that uses an integer, but then the whole string(line) has to be the searchString. I've tried combining the two and even calling a Private Sub but with no success:(What is the best way to do this? Also, how do you get around doing it when the searchWord in in several lines?
I have a keyword search in my program that searches a SQL database table and displays all records that match that keyword in a datagridview. As some of the results can be quiet big i would like to highlight the word in the result that matches the keyword in RED. How can i do this?
Dim count As Integer Dim word() As String For count = 0 To DataGridView1.Rows.Count - 2
Let's say I have a page Test.aspx along with test.aspx.vb.Test.aspx.vb contains a class name "TestClass". In that class I have method1(), method2() and method3()I need to be able to call one of those methods, but I can't hard code it, the method to be executed comes from a string.
I can't do Select Case StringContainingTheNameOfTheDesiredMethod Case "Method1"
the string ordering does not matter Z, X, or c can be any order in the string but the regex must fail if all three are not present. I can easily do Three different regex but was wonder can this be done with one expression?
I have a listbox containing a collection of strings (phrases) and would like to know if one of these phrases contains a substring. For example... myListBox contains the following strings stored in the items collection:
I would like to have a only part of a string... I have a string[URL] and i want only the part thats past the last / so i would actualy get only "file.part4.rar"I know that this can be done through Regex, But I have never used that, and I read the documentation on it, but I do not understand the part of...
Dim rx As New Regex("^-?d+(.d{2})?$")
What dose each of those characters do and how dose it effect the output...
So strings are reference types right? My understanding is a reference to the string in the heap is passed even when you pass the string ByVal to a method.
I am trying to the copy the value from string to char array using String.CopyTo() method.
Here's my code
Dim strString As String = "Hello World!" Dim strCopy(12) As Char strString.CopyTo(0, strCopy, 0, 12)
[code]....
Edit : I get the this error at runtime.ArgumentOutOfRangeException Index and count must refer to a location within the string. Parameter name: sourceIndex
I have written a function to get a string between 2 other strings but at the moment it is still returning the first part of the string and simply removing anything after the EndSearch value:
Public Function GetStringBetween(ByVal Haystack As String, ByVal StartSearch As String, ByVal EndSearch As String) As String If InStr(Haystack, StartSearch) < 1 Then Return False
I am trying to extract data from a string using Regex in VB.net This is my string CN=firstname lastname/OU=orgunit/O=org;shortname I am basically trying to retrieve firstname lastname (together),orgunit, org and shortname
I'm trying to find a pattern in a string, I guess is very easy but I'm terrible in regular expressions. I have a big text and I need to find all the next type of pattern: {a|b|c} That can be also something like this: {a|b|c|s|f|f|ft|r} or any number of items inside but at least 2 items so the pipe symbol is another key. Is this an easy regular expression? I'm using vb.net 2005.
I am trying to gather all numbers in this string which is the name of an image file. The name of the string is ABC09072009XYZ777000111.jpg. When I use Dim rx as new Regex("d") Console.Writeline(rx.match(input)) It only returns the first set of numbers before the xyz. I need them all.
blah blah blah Version V3.5/7(030114) blah blah blah blah
I'd like to parse out the Version V3.5/7(030114) part using a Regex or Substring, but not sure how. The surrounding text could be dynamic in length and the 6 numbers between the parenthesis could be a different length as well (maybe 4).
