View 6 RepliesI'm writing a program in VB.net that gets the source code of a web page with a video on it. it then uses regular expressions to isolate the download link of that video. then it uses "httpwebrequest" and "httpwebresponse" to download the video. my problem arises when certain sites have a page where you have to click continue in order to get to the video page. [URL].. called "The.Matrix.Reloaded.2003.mp4" so i tell my program to get the source code for the url [URL]..but it cant find the video's download link because it's searching for the file in the "continue" page's source code. you can see what i am saying by going to that website above and viewing the source code by right clicking on it. and then click continue and do the same when the video appears and you'll notice that the file is only there in the second one.
So my question is how can i get the source code for the page that the video is playing on and not the page where i have to click continue?

Every single time that I want to copy and paste the code that's been color coded, I have to sign into MSDN, choose Insert Code Block, and then Paste my VB.NET Code, choose VB.NET, Click Preview, and Copy and Paste it to an HTML Page, I Want that thing that color codes my VB.NET Code, in order for me to share my work online... View 1 RepliesI have an ASP.NET Form (aspx). It uses VB as the codebehind. I want ALL of the VB to run and then the page to render BEFORE redirecting to the specified form. The problem is, is that I have Response.Redirect calls in the middle of the VB code (aspx.vb) and it seems to redirect before rendering the page. Is there any way around this? I need to have the page render so that some JavaScript on the client side (aspx) can run (it is for Google Analytics).

View 2 RepliesThis may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:

And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?
I know how to print a document from a file and a picture(Graphic) from a file but how do I print a current page of a Windows form I have developed. I.E. from my bank I get my statment by printing the page from a Print Page button. I tried codes I know but in my program it prints a blank Page.

I'm working on a project. I want to be able to right click on a webpage and click on my custom context menu item (let's say 'screen'). What this should do is get all the page source from the current web page from where I righ clicked and save it on the disk. I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:

I just dont understand regex enough to cope with these situations.
I have a session variable that changes some things about how a page looks. I have a button that changes the value of this session variable. But ... the onClick event happens after page load, so by the time I update the session variable based on the button click, it's too late, the page has already been loaded.
Theoretically I could put all the logic about changing the display into a function and call it from page load, and then call it again from the onclick after the variable as been updated. But this is impractical: there are many user controls that check the value, used on many different pages in different combinations. I would have to hard-code the list of user controls on each page, and if someone added a new user control to a particular page, they'd have to remember to update this function, which is lame.
Is there a way to force a page reload? (I can use response.redirect back to myself and it works. If all else fails I guess this is what I'll do. But it means an extra round trip to the server, which is clumsy.)
Is there a way to process the onclick before the page load?

I am creating a notes software. This is just a simple application that will show the data from the database which are Notes_Title, Due_Date, Priority. I display the data with datagridview. I also added a checkbox for each row to the datagridview to mark as check if the Notes_title is already done. In displaying the data, I need to display only a 5 data in a row.So, I create a another CLASS that will only show 5 rows per page. But the PROBLEM is, if I mark the checkbox as check in the first page then if I turn it to the next page the checkbox in the first page that mark as check will be uncheck if I turn it back to the first page. The mark check in the checkbox will mark as uncheck if I turn the page. How can I make it mark as check even if I turn the pages? And How can I save the data row as done if I check

So I currently have a aspx page that shows details for any single staff member, and the page is setup with mostly ASP labels. I have a subroutine called "getstaffdata" that populates the page on load (via subroutine).
I would like to convert this to a page that shows details on one staff member, or many staff members, one after another. So I thought of using the repeater control, but I'm not sure how to convert the page over. The staff userids are passed via query string, but I'm just confused on how to do the datasource for the repeater control.
I can print the current page number with the use of a static variable. How do I find out the total number of pages? Is there any particular variable in which this number is saved and can be replaced automatically later on just before printing commences by some internal procedure?

View 1 RepliesI'm working on a VB.Net windows application.In the top half of the form application, I have a vendor number with a "GO" button and in the bottom half I have a list of tab pages. We have built the application to only go to the database and display data when the tab page is selected by the user. If I'm in one of the tab pages, and I change the vendor number and click the GO button, the data on the current tab page goes blank (it does not refresh). I have been told that I have to find a way of programmatically clicking on the tab page's tab a second time. How do I do that? I've tried using _Selected event, _Selecting event, _Click event. I've even tried to do a .Focus() on the tab page itself. Nothing seems to work to reload the new data without clicking off of the tab and back onto it manually.

It will not be a installer or anything, and I don't want to use tabs on it (it doesn't fit to what I'm thinking.) How can I do it? I've tought on multiple forms, but I don't see how can I load another form while I hide the current 'on-the-fly'.
