I have a form with 24 textboxes incremented by a letter. example: txtDimVala1.text, txtDimValb1.text, txtDimValc1.text, etc. I created a code to check each textbox, but there must me a more efficient way to loop it. I have tried a few loops but I cant get them to work looping through the different textbox values.

My goal is to build another page that will then check these values using Querystring variable, and build a listview out of them. (a report page, that basically lets the user select checkboxes of the columns they want to see on the report).
I have been out of the VB game for awhile and am now trying to catch up to VB.NET. I know my current solution probably has a more efficient way of doing what I want, such as using LINQ or something. But, I am start at the bottom and working my way up. I essence I have 1 table controlling which columns get added to a working string, that I will eventually export into a text file. My first table has 3 columns(ID, String, Processed). The ID is the index or primary key and the string is the data I need, and Processed tells me if I have extracted that string yet or not( 0 for no and 1 for yes)...
My main problem is checking values in table 1 where I need to add the string. Of course my problem might be deeper in how I am even returning the values from the datatables.

The "Populate" button fills my Data Grid with numerous lines of data.

I need to find a method of looping through a listbox and retrieving the index number and values - quite straightforward in asp, but turning out to be something of a nightmare in winforms!Here is the scenario - The user can add values in a textbox, that are in turn added to a DataTable that gives it a unique ID and a row number, this is then bound to the listbox. The user can then move the items up or down the list by adjusting the row number in the datatable and rebinding to the listbox..
The problem that I am hitting is when the user needs to delete an item -the first part is easy - delete from the DataTable and rebind to the listbox. The bit where I hit the proverbial brick wall is needing to loop through the listbox rows and getting both the index number and the ValueMember - that way I can change the row numbers in the DataTable based on the index number against the ID number.
I'm trying to do is take each item from an arraylist, that is populated through a structure read from textfiles, then loop through them adding each result from the arraylist to a new line in a textbox. What I'm getting is that it's adding only the last item to the textbox rather than listing them, yes I have multiline set to true. Because of the potential size of the arraylist I have it running in a background worker. Once it's complete then I'm trying to populate the textbox. All the code is working fine to that point it's just populating the textbox correctly is my problem.[code]I've tried adding vbnewline, vbcrlf, cblf at the end of the statement as well as placing the text statement in both the runworkercompleted sub as well as in the delegate with the same result.

I think I'm close but how do you get what the text box is bound to? I'm trying to loop through all my textboxes and add a handler that on validation will insert a null if it equals string.empty. How to set the property manager by sending it the appropriate Binding context. I know that this code will not find textboxes in panels or ones that are on other controls, that's fine, for now. I'm also not sure how it will handle controls that are bound to different datasets.
I'm using a pattern of buttons verticle, & horizonal, to produce a 2 dimensional matrix (6 deep, 25 wide .) The sequence is repeating, but offset from horizonal line to line. the values are 1 thru 12. there are corresponding files in the "My.resources." file carrying names related to the buttons. If the "my. Resources" filename is say.., "1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12 " & the buttons pushed have produduced the string "1","4","6" then the prestated file carries all these values, and therefore should be selected. All integers of the textbox list must be present in a "my.resources" file to show the file. There will be multiple files in the resource file that will fit. (My ultimate intention is to show all files that fit, somehow. I'll have to, eventually. I'm still writing this, and changing it constantly. )the question is, "How do I get the computer to link the textbox integers to the resources files? I have created a textbox array based on the number of 'Channels' on another form. This number dictates how many textboxes (and other controls) to add to my new form.
I expect the user to type in their 'type' of channel into each textbox.
The thing I am having problems with is once the user types in the information, how do I access the data and store it for a future form?
