Now I want to give error message "Username can not be same" when CheckedBy2TextBox text is same as CheckedBy1TextBox. It would be good if we can use .net validator.
I'm working on a Website in Web Developer 2010 where the content of a text box is checked against a list of values to find a match. There must be an exact match for the user to be allowed to proceed to the next step of the wizard.
Is there a shorter method to do this using the VB 'If' statement, other than specifying each condition individually?
I've tried something similar to the following, but for the amount of values it would be more practical if there was a shorter method.

I have the code correct to check and see if there is a numerical value entered into to each text box. When the user enters the ending odometer value and that value is less than the beginning odometer value I want an error provider to stop the user from tabbing to the next field and let the user know that the ending odometer value cannot be less than the beginning odometer value.how to set this up. I have some code in there that doesn't seem to be doing the job for me.

I'm tried creating an analog clock and I realized I was terrible at trig and gave up. So instead I'm just creating a digital clock. I'm having problems getting the alarm to go off. Lemme explain my layout, I have 3 comboboxes. 1 is for the hour, 1 is for the minute and 1 is for am/pm.

When you see the above table/gridview, you will know what I want to validate.
I should be checking whether there is any row having start-end dates lying within the existing date range, if so I should invalidate them.
I shd have only distinct date range in my rows.
How do I do that.
May be Useful note: I will be able to check which column name I tried editing in that row.

I have the shop name in a drop down list which is ShopsDDL and it's set to autopostback. What I want to achieve is:
On postback, check for a xml node where node's text = shopDDL shopname
And retrieve also this node's currentdate and label counter.
Rhen, if the node currentday = today then increment labelcounter by 1
Else set labelcounter = 1 and currentday= today

I have a query in Access 07 that identifies the following fields: ContractID, status, start date and end date. For each contract, I've been able to search a network share and upload its corresponding file; however I need to skip the import and write a record to a table for contracts with the same start and end date. I've included a placeholder (in bold below), but how do I make the date comparison work? Do I need to create a multi-dimensional array for that or can it be done with the code I have?

Actually I have datetime value stored in the database. What I am taking from the textbox is a time value. I want to extract those results from the database which are between the given time value....To be more concise, my application is a booking system for a sports club and provides an option to view alreaady made bookings.. Here i offer two options either to view all bookings for a specific game or to filter bookings. I have a dataGridView and a textbox on a form. I want to be able to search through the dataGridView and sort it compared to the string in the text box. Ex: I type "acv" in the text box and all strings containing "acv" are sorted to the top. I'm accomplishing this with a bunch of gymnastics involving datatable.select and some clearing and filling but it's ugly and slow.

My program has 6 picture boxes lined up horizontally, and has one text box underneath each one. There is a play and stop button on the bottom left corner.I've altered my program to have animations for the picture boxes. Instead of having a random picture picked, I have it so that each picture box scrolls through a series of 10 numbers when the user presses play.
When the player presses stop, the picture boxes stops scrolling, and random pictures are displayed in each box. (The picture is really just a black circle with a number in it).The text boxes below the picture boxes are for the user to put numbers in. These are the numbers they select for the lottery. Now this is my predicament. Since the picture boxes decides what the winning lotto numbers are, how can I compare the numbers in the text box to the pictures?

I want it to take each number from the player's number array individually and compare them to each row individually in the lotto results array i.e. the first six cells in each row in the results array will be compared with each user number to find any matches, if a value matches then a count is incremented. if the count is greater than 2 but i'm getting no where with it :( i've been trying to use the For To loops but keep getting index out of range, or else nothing is happening at all!
I'm using a pattern of buttons verticle, & horizonal, to produce a 2 dimensional matrix (6 deep, 25 wide .) The sequence is repeating, but offset from horizonal line to line. the values are 1 thru 12. there are corresponding files in the "My.resources." file carrying names related to the buttons. If the "my. Resources" filename is say.., "1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12 " & the buttons pushed have produduced the string "1","4","6" then the prestated file carries all these values, and therefore should be selected. All integers of the textbox list must be present in a "my.resources" file to show the file. There will be multiple files in the resource file that will fit. (My ultimate intention is to show all files that fit, somehow. I'll have to, eventually. I have created a textbox array based on the number of 'Channels' on another form. This number dictates how many textboxes (and other controls) to add to my new form.
I expect the user to type in their 'type' of channel into each textbox.
The thing I am having problems with is once the user types in the information, how do I access the data and store it for a future form?
