One of the thing that I need to do is insert tables, in order to do that I needed to provide the user with some options first. When thinking of the design for this, I decided to go with the form layout that Word 2003 uses;
Now as you may notice the third NumericUpDown control has "Auto" written in it. This is one of the values the other values include;

how I might be able to get my NumericUpDown control (or another control) to display those non-numeric options.
I have not been able to find a way to get the datetimepicker with ShowUpDown= True and custome format set to h:m tt to increment in 15 min intervals. I have been able to set it when the form is loaded to the nearest 15 min increment. But I need it to increment in 15 minutes units.
This can be down with the NumericUpDown control, but I need two of them one for the hour and one for the minutes and set it's Increment property to 15. Again I can set it to adjust to correct hour and the nearest 15 min. And of course I have to watch and when I go over 60 reset to zero and increment the hour control.
The users will be burly oil field workers using a Panasonic Tablet PC with a stylus in the field. It seems that it would be easier if I could increment the datetimepicker in 15 intervals.

I have my numeric up and down control set up but there is one problem. When i run the application, there is an IBeam in the value box. I have got my alphabet and arrow keys mapped to other things so when i press them windows makes the annoying beep noise. How can i get rid of the IBeam from this control permanently? I have tried the read only setting but the beam is still there.
View 1 RepliesAs part of a program that I am composing, the user needs to enter a value by way of a NumericUpDown control on one particular form. Once this and other criteria have been evaluated, the program will then move to the next "step" of the program. If they use the spinner built into the NumericUpDown control, the event is fired on every change and that's all well and good, but if they double-click the value in the control then type the value in manually, it doesn't fire until the control no longer has focus. I can't depend that this might be the case however. Using the "KeyPress" event, I can in fact know when the control has focus and the user has typed but what I cannot seem to get it to do is to get the control to "read" these keystrokes as values until the control loses focus.

The "Scroll" event works for user changes to the TrackBar control, but not for me on the UpDown control, and the ValueChanged event doesn't distinguish the source of the change.

Is there a shorter method to do this using the VB 'If' statement, other than specifying each condition individually?

I have a form where the user is to enter the beginning odometer value and ending odometer value. I have the code correct to check and see if there is a numerical value entered into to each text box. When the user enters the ending odometer value and that value is less than the beginning odometer value I want an error provider to stop the user from tabbing to the next field and let the user know that the ending odometer value cannot be less than the beginning odometer value.how to set this up. I have some code in there that doesn't seem to be doing the job for me.

It may have more than 1 row with columns startdate and enddate.

When you see the above table/gridview, you will know what I want to validate.
I should be checking whether there is any row having start-end dates lying within the existing date range, if so I should invalidate them.
I shd have only distinct date range in my rows.
How do I do that.
May be Useful note: I will be able to check which column name I tried editing in that row.
Do any of you have some ideas how to create a logic to accomodate my validation issue in my webbased gridview control ?

To slow it down I've disabled the (NUD) control and set a 200 Interval Timer to re-enable it, but the exception is still happening.I don't want the slow the control down any further, I'd rather try to handle the exception, but can't find any help on how to do that.This is essentially the code which is incurring the exception, at the (4th) line... On postback, check for a xml node where node's text = shopDDL shopname
And retrieve also this node's currentdate and label counter.
Rhen, if the node currentday = today then increment labelcounter by 1
Else set labelcounter = 1 and currentday= today

I want to have new List3 {4,6,7} which is composed of elements of List2 that are not in List1. I know I can write a nice For Each loop for this but I want it done in LINQ I've been looking for such methods at Enumerable Methods, but I can't find it.
