I was able to make a program that can draw on a form but if I draw very fast, the lines are cut. Check image below :
Another is I want to make my form be able to load a power point presentation. Is it possible? Also, I was wondering if it is possible to save the form as image file like what we do in screenshot?

Then if the program accepts the activation code can it open the main form (form1) and if the user closes the program and the re-opens the program, is it possible that the activation form doesn't open again and instead, going to the main form. I have a table inside my database, and i wish to insert/update/delete entries in a FormView Manner (I mean no datagrid) but a set of textbox/combobox/listbox/checkbox for one record. So basically I want to create a type of grid that the user will be able to highlight specific rectangles in the grid so that way the tester knows to test only those specific locations. So like they choose circle, green, and in this blank space on the form a green circle appears, pretty simple. Anyways we have some kind of msdn alliance thing where we can download Visual Studio for academic purposes, so I downloaded Visual Studio 2008. I spent about an hour going through the tool box trying to figure out what could possibly allow me to draw stuff in it, and I'm really not sure what it could be. On some online tutorials it said something about a function on picture boxes like picturebox.Circle(100,100), 100, vbgreen or something similar, and when I tried making a picturebox and writing this code nothing worked. My friend told me to use a 'canvas' but neither of use know how to actually find such a control (its not in the toolbox).[urls]....

View 4 RepliesI am building an app that builds a bunch of cardinal splines by storing their PointF structures in arrays. As the program runs, new points are added to the arrays, and the graphics are drawn to a bitmap. I can let it run for ages and the splines just keep growing like they should with no problems. The amount of points in each spline can grow into the thousands. To speed up execution as time progresses, I don't completely redraw the splines after each pass, I simply draw the last segment of the spline to the bitmap, having let the bitmap 'record' the earlier part of the splines.
But if I pan across the scene or zoom in/out of it, then I DO have to completely redraw the splines, since the size and resolution of the display is limited to its dimensions. Panning works, no problem. But if I zoom in and out of the bitmap with the mouse wheel, after about 14 wheel clicks, I get an "Out of Memory" error. BUT...I have it set up so that whenever the mouse wheel turns, the graphics and the bitmap are disposed so that new ones can be built for the new zoom setting. So why would the program run out of memory when as far as I can tell, I am disposing of all my unused, unmanaged resources on a regular basis?

there can be different number of rows at the left side,meaning it depends on output of the query.And heres the problem, i need to make another table at the right side. how to make a table at the right side or draw lines without affecting details section? this is just purely table without fields on it.
I'm currently working on a VB 2008 course of Michael Halverson, and I'm stuck at an assignment where I'll have to expand a previous wood order program so customers can add woodcuts to their orderIn the newer program a customer can define 4 coordinates (x & y for startpoint and x & y for endingpoint), after clicking on the button 'Next cut' a line will be drawn on screen (in PanelCuts) with a maximum of ten lines. After finishing, the coordinates must be saved in the order.txt, and when the client re-select the order in the main order program, they can review and adjust / remove the already specified cuts.Right now I'm at the point that the you can enter the coordinates, and the line will be drawn.
- What's the best way to store the submitted cuts, in a Label? array? or something else?
- When the form reloads, how to displays all previous made cuts? Can i count the numer of cuts and with For i = 1 to combined with SelectedItem. Split() ? [code]

Now, it draws perfectly when I drag left to down (vice versa), but when I try and drag the opposite way (this is when I get negative x and y values), it doesn't seem to draw the rectangle.I've tried fixing it but with no luck at all, it just messes it up :c
I'm trying to draw a 400x400 px image to a 400x400 form that I made. What I'm doing is:
Graphics.DrawImage Method (Image, 0, 0, 400, 400) 0, 0, 400, 400, ...
But when I run the form, the image seems to stretch slightly upon the y-axis, the x-axis seems to be working correctly.
This was what I was doing before (stretching the old smaller images to fit the size)
... (Image, 0, 0, 264, 231) 0, 0, 400, 400, ...
or something like that. Now that I'm trying to do it the correct way, I can't seem to get it to work properly.
Edit: I wonder if using a simpler verson of Graphics.DrawImage would work?
