I dont know how to do this at all. How can I make a program that can manage the startup programs (ex. Disable, delete, enable, exc. the startup programs) I don't know where to start. On a separate note, how can I make a file that executes multiple programs? I will provide more detail if needed.

i want to make a simple program where i can add/edit or delete a shortcut from an installed programs in my computer.
let say c:program filesmicrosoft officeoffice11winword.exe.
the purpose of this is i want some of my selected programs to be in a single window where i can click to open so i don't need to go to start then programs and open that specific program.
i want to run that program in startup so everytime i start my computer the shell or the program is already running and i could click the program that i want on that window.

1. This is the path for the application startup: Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Startup) Does the same path exists but for all the users ?

Hi, I'm working on a program that reads text entered into a textbox and creates a list of items by separating entries by commas. Everything is working fine, except, because I am using an array to store the items in the list, I have a limited number of entries. This is only a problem because, as it is written currently, each comma counts as an individual entry. Therefore, users can enter ",,," for example, and it would use up 3 places in the array.
I'm looking for a way to check to make sure there is text after the comma before adding an entry. I've attempted to use the .substring command to check the character after, which works until it gets to the last character. Because there is no character after that, it will give an error.

View 2 RepliesSo I have a program that only has one form in it, this form is just an "About" window that appears when a specific context menu item is clicked from the system tray icon (NotifyIcon) that is on the form.
All I want to do is make it so that when the program is launched, the form is not displayed at all and just the system tray icon appears.
I have accomplished this by doing the following but just wondered if there is a better/easier way?
1. Set the Opacity of the form to 0 in the designer
2. Set the ShowInTaskBar property to False in the designer
3. Use a timer that is started in the form Load event to call Me.Hide after 1 second
Then when I want to show the form I just set the opacity back to full and call Me.Show
