Jan 30, 2012I am trying to write a program that allows user input information and plot a bifurcation diagram that looks like this:I haven't program in 2 years:sick: so I am all rusty and such. Here is what I have got so far and more information about what I am doing.
Bifurcation:
f(x) = kx(1-x)
and k = xL + i * (xR-xL) / 500
when i runs from 0 to 500, it plots (i, f(seed)), (i, f(f(seed)), .... up to the boundary number.Here is what I have got so far. Everything seems normal, however, I am really confused when it comes to plotting.

Jan 15, 2011I am using MS Windows XP, and Visual Basic Express 2008 and I am trying to write a programme that will enter a lot of information into another programme that I have written for testing purposes. The programme that I am writing to has up to 500 line items, by 10 possible suppliers; as you can imagine testing this every time is too labour intensive.[code].....
This code correctly takes me through the various forms until it reaches the Input General Information Form, which opens with the top TextBox in focus. However the entry, "Escravos Gas to Liquids", is placed in the last TextBox.How do I make it enter in the first TextBox, which is in focus? From that point on how do I cycle through the remaining 10 TexBoxes to make each entry?

Apr 29, 2010Would it be possible to make my program visit a website and basicly filling out a text field and using the submit button in a form?For example; I have a text field named "Field" in my webpage, and I want my Visual Basic 2008 application to visit that page, and automaticly fill out that field named "Field" with a string I gave my application, and next to click on the submit button.The purpose for this is because I want that the users of my application can post feedback on my webpage. I was looking for something like a MySql client but it's best if I would encrypt/hide the protected information such as table names or MySql passwords.And I believe that these users need to have specific MySql drivers installed to use it. So this idea sounds better. So, is there a way to navigate trough a website like this?

the purpose of this is i want some of my selected programs to be in a single window where i can click to open so i don't need to go to start then programs and open that specific program.
i want to run that program in startup so everytime i start my computer the shell or the program is already running and i could click the program that i want on that window.

Write XML Document To Group Information From Two Different Sub Routines
Jan 19, 2012I am trying to retrieve all processes running on a machine with the usual information; process id, name and the memory usage. I am trying to export it all under one xml file, however to get all the information I had to use 2 separate methods. To get the process id, name and session id (process owner) I used the following code along with a dictionary and a class, using a .net library called Cassia.

The Timer Is Not Waiting That Time After The First Visit?
May 7, 2011I have a basic question about timers, that I can't answer myself. It's annoying me. My code is made to visit a website every X seconds. There are two problems.
I Set the interval for 30 sec and the first visit should be right now, not after 30 seconds.
After that, wait 30 sec and navigate to another one (in a listbox). The problem is that the Timer is not waiting that time after the first visit.[code...]
