Aug 27, 2009I currently have two programs that need to comunicate one with another. It doesn't have to be something complicated, it's just passing data from one to another, all very simple. I was thinking of using .net remoting, but I've heard there's a new thing WCF. Should I go for the .net remoting or try WCF? Or is there something simpler to use?
edit: Both applications are simple, I don't want to have anything to do with IIS, services and such.

Jan 23, 2012I'm making this program. and its a matchmaking program for a game, so people enter their xbox live gamertag and more text stuff and check off which game modes they want to play in. and i need to know how to include the checkboxes information and the radio buttons information and the textboxes information into the email. so at the end they click submit and the program automaticlly gets the info and sends it to me. how would i do this? would i have to put EVERYTHING onto a panel or something like that? and i have 4 applications within the program itself. and one of them is the submit button for the email. and another thing. how would I be able to save the information (each and every text box, check box, and radio button) into a text file?[code]...

Oct 7, 2011I'm making an installer that needs to have information stored inside the exe itself.I cannot use my.settings because it is stored outside the application and if it is changed and the exe is moved to another computer it will reset to default.
And I cannot use resources since I cannot add/edit resources after the application is build.
Is there any way I can store and change info even if the application is moved to another location?

Feb 5, 2010I have a win form with three textboxes that lets the user input information using VB.net 2008. I am wanting the program to send me the information entered (when they hit the send button) as an email and also drop the information entered into an access database.I have the program sending the textbox information as an email.What I am having trouble with is saving the three textboxes to access database. I have an access database set up with a table and three fields for the three textboxes.
All I need to do is each time a user uses the program, it adds the information they enter into the three textboxes to the three different fields in the database. I don't need to let the user view or edit the database in any way.
