Make A Web Browser That Uses Home Internet Connection From Anywhere

I need to make a web browser that uses my home internet connection from anywhere.I plan to have the web browser connect to my router/computer where it will request the desired web pages and have the page data sent back to the browser client. The browser must only have a connection with my IP, and not request the web pages from their web URL.How can i do this and what will i need to set up on my home computer?

How do I make the Internet browser in vb.net a 32 bit version? I tried to install Adobe Flash on it, but it won't let me install it, saying it doesn't work on 64 bit internet browsers.

I'm working on a web browser application and I'm trying to set up the home page to be decided with a textbox in the settings form. I want it so that if there is text in the textbox it pulls the url from it and goes to it every time the application is opened.I doubt this is even close to anything that would actually work but I like to show that I put the effort in.[code]

I have made many web browsers that just navigate to a web page, I don't have any buttons or any thing like that as it is controlled via other software using shortcut keys etc.I have created a button in my other software that sends the keys strokes "Control" and "H" I can get this to navigate to a webpage by manually typing i the same page that it navigates to when the form loads, but this mean I have to type the address in twice for each browser I make. I first type the url for the browser to navigate to in the properties section in VB and this is nice and quick to type in each webpage and build quickly build a new browser for it. Currently I have to repeat that url in the browser_homebutton Private Sub, what I want to happen in the below Private Sub is that it navigates to what ever address is typed in the "URL" cell in properties of the browser. What should my "Then" statement say? [code]

I am creating a webbrowser with Visual Basic, and I have finished everything but this: When I click on an external link, (I.E. On a photo, or on youtube) it opens up in a new IE window. I want it to open in my browser, not Internet Explorer.I have read everything I have found on this subject, but it is all for normal web browsers. I want to do this for a tabbed web browser, not one without tabs. Basicly, I want to use this code with my tabbed web browser that uses tab control.

I've just finished making a web browser suited for my personal use, but when I click on a new link or something it opens a new window in Internet Explorer - which gets extremely anoying.. Is there a way to make all links open up in a custom browser?

ok here is my problem, im making a little app for school since our school blocks pretty much everything so here is my plan a student makes 2 gmail accounts one for school one at home.
in the program at school (client) they put a site request into a textbox and they hit send, the request is then sent to the home pc gmail account and another app on the other side downloads the full site that they have requested and then sends them an email back with an attachment of the complete website, it is then opened in a browser and they have the site, simple idea and it would be easy except.
my school blocks the smtp protocols in vb, even outlook cant use gmail accounts only the schools registered email, however, you can access gmail on the internet without any blockages and you can send and recieve on the gmail website.so how can i use a webbrowser control to log the user into there gmail account through a custom gui, and send a string like www.facebook.com to the home pc gmail account, and then use the web browser controll on the students laptop to recieve the response email through a web browser, is there some kind of gmail api i can use?

I'm trying to setup sort of a LAN keep-alive proxy...Ex.: My Xbox 360 is connected strait to my computer via an ethernet cable. My computer is connected to the internet via a Wi-Fi adapter. Everything works fine and I can access the internet on the Xbox and computer.
Issue: Every time I start my Xbox I have to set up a "Home or Small Office Network" via the control panel to access the internet. What I would like to do is implement a proxy that when I shutdown the Xbox the LAN doesn't give the "Network Cable Unplugged" notification. I wasn't sure if there was a way to make the connection stay open for so long after it should say unplugged. Such as if I need to restart the system and don't want to have to re-setup the network on the computer.

I have a program originally compiled in VS2008 on a WindowsXP Pro box. The program uses Microsoft DAO 3.5 Object Library to access an Access database.
When I try and run the program on Windows XP (any version) it runs just fine. If I try and run in on Vista (any version) it doesn't work. When I try and run it on Windows 7 Pro, it runs fine. I really want it to run on Windows 7 Home Premium, but I get an interop error anytime I try and access the database.

I have a windows application developed in visual studio 2010. I would like to keep track of the usage of the app by measuring how often the app is used, where it is used etc... I also have a webserver on the internet that I was thinking of phoning home to.My thinking is that the if the app opens a particular webpage or just makes a http connection to the webserver (in the background) , the webserver logs will logs all the data I need.
How do I initiate a http connection to the webserver?

I have created my own internet browser which is almost finished, I just need one more thing to make it complete.
I need my internet browser to be able to be set as the default browser. I have 2 applications 1 being the browser lets call it browserapp1.exe and I have another app which we will call setasdefaultapp1.exe, setasdefaultapp1.exe will be an application basic form with 2 buttons one to exit and one to make browserapp1.exe the default internet browser.
I understand that to do this I need to edit the registry
When the button on setasdefaultapp1.exe is pressed I want browserapp1.exe to become the default browser in the start menu, become the default for html, htm, php etc.. and also when a link is pressed in an email it needs to load my browser.

There are certain sites that require login to access certain parts of the site, now the user logs in through Internet Explorer, and now I want thet a web browser will have access too - like that Internet Explorer got. In short: login with IE, and Web browser will got also access to site like Internet Explorer.So if there is a way to do it, i will happy to know.

WebBrowser1.Navigate("www.google.com"), it doesn't load. It opens the same webpage you get when you try to navigate to a page and you're not connected to the internet. Also, I opened a webpage that was saved on my computer, and that webpage had a link to a website on the internet, and when I clicked on it, it worked just fine! It's not my internet, what is it then? What is the best practice way of detecting internet connection?
From Windows Vista onwards, a status is set in windows that is displayed in the task bar. However, I cannot call this function/api/whatever, since some of the client pc's are still on xp, and only due for upgrade in 18 months.
so do i use and request something like [url]... to try and see it it works, and on the catch block set the return value to false, or is there another way?
Second part of this question, If no network connection is available, I can use [url]... to dial a connection. Will this use internet explorer's settings, or dial the connection marked as default in DUN?

In MC65, SIM card is already inserted. Any web site can be browsed.
In my application, there is sending email feature using Rebex. Sometimes, it cannot send email. So I tried to browse IE and I'm beware if 3G connection signal appears, sending works properly.
Around connection signal on Screen, there is "H" symbol. What is it?

For security purposes, I need to write a program that tracks the browser history of Internet Explorer on my machine. The way it would work is this: it starts up when the computer does (I'm pretty sure I can do that without a problem), then runs in the background as long as the computer is on. When the user types a URL or clicks a link, the program reads the URL and writes it to a text file. It does not check the browser history, as my situation makes checking the browser history useless. It records the URL as soon as the web page is reached.

I'm writing a Silverlight 4 application and would like to check when opening the installed out of browser application, whether there is a valid internet connection (to then download some data from my website). I realise that I could put a try catch around a WebRequest but that seems a bit hacky to me.
EDIT: What I meant by valid internet connection is just connected to the internet
