I was about to make an error message when there is no record both pat_brgyno and pat_famno in the database. I don't know how to make it. What my logic says is something like this:

Currently, the user has to use Sound Record to record the message, use an FTP client to upload it to a web server, and finally, use an e-mail client to send the URL. I'd like to combine those three features into one.

View 1 RepliesWhile I've previously many years of relational databases and procedural languages, I'm stumbling with Visual Basic. In this problem, the simple situation is that I have two files, parent and child. The primary key of the parent file (Area file) is linked by a relation to one of the two fields that makes up the primary key in the child file (Project file) (unique key is formed from 'area' and 'project'). I have the default table adapters created on both files. I have created two maintenance forms showing one each of the two files in datagrid view format.I can create some records in the Parent (Area) file, but when I try to create a record in the child (Project) file, using one of the valid key values from the Area file, I get the 'ForeignKeyConstraint [relation name] requires the child key values [actual value] to exist in the parent table' which I'm absolutely definitely sure it does.
I haven't done any actual coding for those two maintenance forms, just dragged-and-dropped the files from the data sources screen onto separate forms so it creates the controls itself. But I can't work out, if it already knows the data does exist because I can load it back in to the Area maintence form, why it can't check itself to find out the record does exist. Why does it think the record from the parent record doesn't exist? It does exactly the same thing, whether or not the database is in access or SQL Server Express. I have all the latest updates.

When I selected a record in datagridview and hit delete, it always deleted the first row in the datagridview then if I tried to delete any of the row again, it would not let me. I would like the selected row to be deleted,how I can do that?

I have had to do this for my web app, since it is clearly much tidier than letting the program bomb out with it's ugly default error page. My custom error page just has the customer's logo and a brief message saying "Error has occurred. Please return to homepage"The trouble now is that I have no way of knowing what caused the error, when a customer reports it.
Is there a way to make the actual error message appear on this custom error page too?
I dragged and dropped a label control on my web form. But then whe I go to my VB .net code behind file, if I try and set a property on that label control, I am getting a "Declaration Expected" error message for the label I created.Yet if I do try and explicitly declare my label control, the compiler tells me that the label control is already declared.[code]

When I run the code, type a value in quantity and hit the calculate button I get an error message stating, "Quantity must be a numeric value" and I don't see in the code what I have missed. I thought I set quantity as a numeric value by making it an integer and parsing it.

I have a loading function that loads all the times into arrays and sends it to a thread that runs a loop till todays date = date time. The problem I am having is I cant get the popup form to initialize properly. It either doesn't load the labels or background and the window is instantly unresponsive or it just blinks onto the screen and off before it does anything.
