Fill Values Programmatically To Added Buttons - Efficient Way To Program?
Aug 15, 2009want to make a custom calendar. For that I made a table of 7 cols and 6 rows and added 42 buttons in it. I added an event handler. I used this file in other form and when I click at the button the event is fired in form2. I understand this is not hte efficient way to add so many buttons. As it is a calendar, so I got to add dates to buttons based on month selected.I am finding that part difficult. For this feature, I think I should add buttons dynamically. But I can't make out how to add buttons to each cell of the table. Later on each buttons text will also change. I have added the code written so far :

Situating my problem, in my Windows Forms app. I have 2 DataTables and 1 typed DataSet, first DataTable name tblProduct with aprox 1000 rows, second DataTable name tblChosenProduct which is empty(no data), also there are 2 DataGridView controls, first Dgv name dgProduct bound to tblProductBindigSource, second Dgv name dgItems unbound.
At Form load dgProduct is being fill, then as I double click in one of the Dgv dgProductRow I am filling the first row of my second DataGridView name dgItems unbound, all of this is working fine. Apr 17, 2009I am currently trying to develop a program where you click on a datagridview row and then at the bottom of the window there is a button called "Modify."Once you hit this button, another window will pop open to where the user can modify the information on that specific datagridview object.I want the program to fill in what has already been entered so the user can go back and make changes if need be.I understand that datagridview has it's own update commands, but when I created by table adapters and everything, it did not create them.I am not sure if there is a way to create the update command manually, but this is the best way to explain it.

Dec 16, 2008I am having a problem with data in a combobox not being refreshed (using VB.net 2005 by the way). Right now I have a windows application with several forms. I have a Template form that contains the cboActivity combobox. This combobox is filled with data from a SQL database. I also have an Activity form. This form allows me to enter new activity information and save it to the database. If I load up the Template form, click the cboActivity combobox, the Fill event is triggered and my combobox is filled with the activity data from the database. But if I leave this form open, go to the Template, add new activity information, and save it...when I go back to the Activity form the combobox has not been update to contain the newly added data. Is there a way I can force the Fill event to fire every time I click the combobox?

Attaching code to buttons when they're clicked is easy when they're static buttons on the form; just double click the button on the form designer and add code to the event.
I have a series of buttons that are generated in a control array, so they're generated in a class, and in the form there are no buttons until runtime.
So newbie question with a probably simple answer...how do I enter code for the click event for buttons that aren't there until they're instantiated as a class at runtime?

I have it on top using Me.TopMost That part is working great but I want to leave the current app have focus, not my keyboard. I have a customer service center where each person must fill out the same data on 3 different web forms for each phone call. All 3 browser windows are open at the same time. (we are forced to use IE at this time)
The fields on each form are the same, but may be in a different order or called something different, but the data is ultimately the same.
Submitting to these web pages through POST is NOT an option. It must be done in macro-like style.
The hard part about this for is getting VB to focus each window one-at-a-time and then filling in the form values.
How can this be done? After focusing windows, is there a way to get VB to fill in each form field?

Sep 8, 2009I'm in the process of adding EMR (Electronic Medical records) to my app. We have many PDF files that where created in Adobe LiveCycle and Acrobat Pro. Not sure if this is possible, but what I'd like to do is open a PDF file within my app and display it for the user to fillin the PDF form. Once PDF is filled in, I'd like to be notified (user clicks submit) when user is done, then get data out of PDF and save it to database. Or be able to fill in a PDF automatically and then display it to the user for editing. I know there are many tools out there to create/edit pdf files. The Acrobat SDK also includes a PDF viewer control, but the problem with this control is there is no way (I've found) to also edit the file through my program because the control don't expose the AcroForm class through the control. BTW, it this can be done PLEASE let me know how. Also note that most of these are dynamic PDF files (created in LiveCycle) and some of the third party tools don't provide support for these files.
I don't care if Acrobat reader is required to be installed on the user computer, I just need to be able to get some type of notification that the user is done filling in the forms. It might have been easier to just create a winform and with all required fields, but a lot of our users are not computer savy, and have been using the paper version of the PDF files for a while. I need to make it as easy as possible for them to jump in and start using the program, hince embedding the PDF into my app.
