I have a vb.net 2008 aplication that writes to a Word 2010 file. I can easily change the text in the bookmarks BM1 and BM2. In the file there is also a checkbox (Kryss1) that I need to change between checked an unchecked. How do I do to change the checkbox from vb.net?

View 6 RepliesI have an issue where I need to load a fixed-length file. Process some of the fields, generate a few others, and finally output a new file. The difficult part is that the file is of part numbers and some of the products are superceded by other products (which can also be superceded). What I need to do is follow the superceded trail to get information I need to replace some of the fields in the row I am looking at. So how can I best handle about 200000 lines from a file and the need to move up and down within the given products? I thought about using a collection to hold the data or a dataset, but I just don't think this is the right way.[code]....

View 3 RepliesuTorrent is a p2p program which handles torrents as most people know. What I want to do is:
Write the total amount of Upload rate to a txt file (updated every second).
Write the total amount of Download rate to a txt file (updated every second).
This is done on a server, which writes the files to a shared folder. And on my computer, I will make a program that reads from these files every second. So instead of me having to use the Remote Desktop Connection to see if it's going anywere. I want to view the speed from my computer. So the problem starts at the first task, how to manipulate programs.
I can search for the word Love in an .rtf file and return every occurance of the word into a RichTextBox. It returns the word and the scripture the word is in, but it also isreturning a bunch of weird text like: archan78988yykp etc etc. How do I onlyreturn the scripture with the searchedword, in this case the searched word is love. The code I am using is as follows:

The following code allows words to be added to a listbox. Add the word to a text file and create a folder with the word as its name. The second part undoes the actions.If I try to delete the word immediately after adding it one of two things happen.
1.An error is reported stating the path cannot be found. Although the listbox index value is correct according to the code the error is pointing at that index +1.
2.The code continues to the point of requesting conformation to delete the folder, still pointing at the index value +1. I the action is confirmed the wrong folder is deleted.
However if I stop debugging, then run the code again all works correctly.Is it likely to persist when the application is compiled?

I have a label that is supposed to display a word for 5 seconds and then move down the list in a text file and display the next word.I'm oddly able to make it work in random mode, but not going down the list in order.. random would be ok if used words didn't come up again.

I am trying to use a checkbox that is dynamically declared in an .vb file that I am trying to write into my .aspx page. I am able to write a normal checkbox of <input type='checkbox /> from the .vb Class using Response.write, but it comes up blank when using <asp:Checkbox runat='server' />I need to pass whether or not the box is checked back to the server, because I am having to either approve something if one is checked, reject something if the other is checked or do nothing if neither are checked.

I've got a form with parent-child setup. The parent displays name and other demographic info.The child displays multiple addresses, one row at a time. There can only be one primary address for a name and this is designated by a checkbox at the top of the child form.If the user wants to change the primary address to another address,then they find the other address and click on the checkbox.The form checks the other addresses and if one is found that is designated as primary,the user is warned that one already exists and prompts them to change it.
So for example, a name has 2 addresses, the 2nd being the primary address.The user wants to change the 1st address to be primary.They click on the Primary Address checkbox for the 1st address.A warning displays that there is already an address listed as primary.The user then answers the prompt to change the 1st address to the primary address.The checkbox for the 2nd address will be unchecked and the checkbox will be checked for the 1st address.My problem is getting the checkbox unchecked for the 2nd address.If I close the form and reopen, then the checkbox is unchecked.How do I refresh the checkbox for the 2nd address?Here is the code I'm using to find if an address has already been marked as primary:[code]......
I've been going round and round with this and thought maybe someone would know.I've created a program which with process.showdialog calls up a form into which the user enters username and password then is given access to the program itself. If the username and password is incorrect, the program closes.
There is a frmMain and in the form load I've added the process to open this sort of splash login screen. It's not a splash really, it isn't timed to close down.
I fill out the login information, click the save settings checkbox which creates a settings file in MyDocuments. My problem is that in debugging, removing the click closes the login page without the click actually becoming unclicked. The Main program opens before there's been a chance to register the "unclick." Hope this makes sense.

i am developing an application for generating xml file with some details inside and regenerating it whenever i need.Step1: In the user interface,i have placed a gridviewcontrol during run time. i used Datatable for building the table and assign this table as datasource to the datagridview control. last column("GHI") is a checkbox column and its is successfully viewable in the datagridview. the snippet is like this.

View 4 RepliesI am developing an intranet app (so security isn't such a problem). The client wants to drag eml files from Outlook to a folder. I would like put a file watcher control that monitors the folder. When the new file is added I want to run some javascript in the open intranet window. How can the file watcher app communicate with the intranet app (also there may be more than one intranet app open). I am experienced at asp.net but a total novice to Winforms so bear with me.
