I am attempting to move all controls on a form down or up by the height of a menubar depending on whether it is visible or not. I have code which I think ought to work well for this, however it seems that Me.Controls is empty at runtime, so my for each loop is never entered. Could someone please offer a suggestion as to how I can move the controls?
Private Sub uxMenuStrip_VisibleChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles uxMenuStrip.VisibleChanged For Each control As Control In Me.Controls If control.Name <> "uxMenuStrip" Then
I'm creating an application in visual basic, basically a part of it is where I hope to achieve the function whereby users can move pictureboxs(images) when visual basic is running.
Basically, i've got several picture boxes that obviously cannot be moved around the form at the minute.
For example, i want to be able the user to be able to move picturebox1 around the form when they click on it and move it where they want to as opposed to what it does now - doesnt move.
I am working on a project that I want to allow the user to move and resize controls in a panel container at runtime, much like the developer can do in the IDE.Is there a mode (not sure its the right term) I can implement on a selected control that will show the grab handles and allow moving and such?
I am using the following code to move a label at runtime when I mousedown on it and drag it, but how can I make it move freely and randomly around the form without any human intervention?
Private Sub label2_Mousedown(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles Label2.MouseDownIf e.Button = Windows.Forms.MouseButtons.Left Then
At design time in the IDE, you can ctrl-click or drag a box around multiple controls on a form and move them all at once. How do you do that at runtime. I need to be able to create image maps based on textual copies of medical claim forms that are generated from different systems and the ability to create dynamic label controls and move a single or multiple controls and resize is required. How does MS do this in the IDE?

I am trying to create some simple animation using GDI+ graphics. The scene takes place in outer space, I want to run comets across the form. My problem is getting the comets once they leave the form to reappear on the other side. I can do it horizontally, the code for that is below. I can't figure out how to get a comet to leave the bottom of the form and reappear at the top. Anyone have any advice or knowledge on this?
Private Sub CometTimer_Tick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles CometTimer.Tick 'Declare variables.
I'm making an rpg game but the map images i'm making are very large and I wanted to know if its possible to make the picturebox zoom on one particular region of the image and make the image move within the picturebox...
I have created a new project in visual basic and imported a photo in now i want to make the image move inside and I did that the problem is that the image keeps moving out the borders and disappear I want to make it stop how I should do that?
I've moving image using keyboard, and i want to make this image bound to my form. I mean i don't want to let my image away from the form boundaries. I did it in VB 6 but don't know how to do it in VB.Net
We're exporting a set of data using .net interop to Excel and our template file contains some images. Depending on the amount of columns we're exporting we want to position the image X pixels left of the last column depending on the image size/width. Using the record a macro function moving the Image around is a 'no op'. Setting the Shape.Left position also won't work.
I'm currently working on a project for university, basically we were given an incomplete program to finish off with bonus points for adding addition features in.Part of the program is to move an image (a monkey) around the picture box (pen). Now to move the monkey we use 4 buttons on the form called Up, Down, Left and Right, however as we need to move the monkey around to test other parts of the program it gets annoying having to click on the button. As such I was able to get some code which allows me to move the monkey around using the arrow keys (I think you can all see the benefit of this). When I use the code in a blank form it works fine, however when I add a button onto the form the arrow keys will instead highlight the buttons.basically set up a button to disable all buttons on the form until a certain key is pressed, however I would prefer not to have to do this.
I'm using the arrow keys to move an animated gif around a form. However when I add a button control to the form the animated gif no longer responds to the arrow keys.
#include "stdafx.h" using namespace System; using namespace System::Drawing;
Does anyone have a simple code for Moving and Renaming a Image File?
Here is an example of exactly what I need to do.
Ok let's presume the end user is Editing a Record named Mick's Milktart, the DataBase Table Field named ID (Primary Key) has a value of 237.The user clicks a button to add an Image to that Record.
An OpenFileDialog opened and an Image File named "NewImage.png" is selected by the user from "MyPictures".[code]...

I have done this below program keeping the picture box property dock=None.And the below code works fine.
Imports System.Drawing.Drawing2D Public Class Form1 Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
[code]....
i.e Dock=Fill And i stretched the form in the design mode... now the circles in the image are not proper...I want my program to work with the Dock property set to Fill?
I would like to add an image to a crystal report at runtime.
I am currently doing this using a second data table containing only a byte field and then a blob field on the report. However this feels like a hack and if there is no data in the first primary table then for some reason the image does not show.
Is it possible to add an image with code or another method?
I'm using crystal reports for visual studio 2010. Winforms project. Either C# or VB.
I'm trying to change the treeview image at runtime, i'm trying to apply the above code but nothing is happening. the goal is that i have an image i want to change it to another image at runtime.
i have a program i've made a while, and one of the users wants to be able to load his own images to the background instead of the plain grey that is there now. i've searched and searched, and basically can get this working
i just slapped that onto a button just to get it to work as i was experimenting. but that only works for a file of that name, on my computer, in that folder. what i'm looking to do is get it so a user can browse his own directories for images and upload them as the background on the form. and be able to save the settings as well. but so far i have only seen different ways to load preset images that you can load. if it's even possible? i'd assume that you'd use the openfiledialog command, but i'm not that well versed in vb as of yet.
I'm developing a standalone application. The purpose of it is to have no installation necessary. I'm trying to keep it as small as possible, and everything contained in the actual program, so that the user can let it sit right on their desktop. I wanted to make it possible to generate an image, preferably something transparent (.png, .gif) of a certain dimension, and export it to a certain folder. I've explored Bitmap library, but I've yet to come up with a successful solution. I'd be very obliged if someone could point me in the correct direction. Here's my current code:
Dim myPNG = New System.Drawing.Bitmap(fileName:="logo.png") myPNG.SetResolution(xDpi:=100, yDpi:=20) myPNG.MakeTransparent() 'creates transparency myPNG.Save("C:logo.png")
