How can I position a form at the bottom right corner of the screen when the form load?

Im trying to make a form popup on the bottom right hand corner of my screen to display a message when the application opens.I know i can set the location in the properties but that may vary depending on the monitor the application is displayed on, how can i code it so that it can detect were the bottom right hand corner of any screen is ?

View 8 RepliesBasically the form moves to the bottom of the screen so that the bottom of the form is at the bottom of the screen. It the increases the width of the form until it is the width of the screen. The height stays the same. So it fills the bottom of the screen.
View 3 RepliesI found some great code on capturing webcam images but the problem is the client PC will need to initiate the communication to this server (click Connect to server IP). This is like 2 way communication.How can i do something like this (door Kiosk system):when a visitor press a button on the LCD that come along a web cam (this will be the server), it will send the signal the client PC that is installed with the application i've created (window form) and pop up the images to the client PC (more like a 1 way communication). After the user presses the Process button I would like to give the user to get some feedback of the process simply by for example label1.text += "Processing File 2".But during the process no Screen Updates are made...only after all databases are processed and VB.net is waiting for new user response it updates my label1.text
View 4 RepliesI'm designing a player application to accompany our phone system. As our calltakers take calls, it makes recordings of each call. They can go to a list module, find a recording and double click, which opens my player. The issue i have is that if the calltaker gets another call, my player doesn't know it and will continue playing. I'm looking for a way to monitor the screen in a particular area and when it sees yellow or red instead of blue, it will pause my player.
The phone system does not have any API's that I can hook onto, so I have to try it another way.
The screen resolution never changes and the queue buttons where they receive calls will always be static. When they get a call, a small area changes from the background color blue to yellow or red to indicate a call.

View 13 RepliesI have this code working fine , it takes pictures of the correct size and correct file name , however , all the pictures it takes are in the top left corner of the screen , rather than where i have the form to. FYI the picture box in the middle has no picture in it , and is transparent , i want to save a bitmap of the contents of the picturebox ( a user defined size of the screen). The picture box and button are docked so that the form scales properly when being resized.

I have now had two occurances of (different) users "losing" their frm position. I save the position to my.settings in the formClosing event ... and this is the only place that these values are set. When the users loaded the form the first time it worked just fine. At some later point the for got repositioned to -32000 (top) and -32000 (left). I now check for this and reposition the form when it is not on the monitor, but I'd like to understand what causes this. I'm using VS2010 and compiling against .net 3.5
Is the formClosing the wrong place to put the logic to save the settings?
I have a ScreenCapture class that allows me to capture the content of the screen by specifying a X Y value of the top left and X Y value of the bottom right corner of a rectangle. This all works fine, however the problem that I have is that I want to capture the content of a panel on a form, the panel obviously has a location X and Y which gives me the top left position and I can use the width and height propoerty of the panel to determine the bottom right position. The problem that I have is this obviously gives me location of the panel on the form and not the screen. The other problem that I have is that this form is a MidiChild for another form.
So basically what I want to know is how can I get the location of the panel but as a screen position?
1. How i can move objects (like Textbox) where I want when the program running? (Drag with the mouse to new location)
2. How i can put the Textbox at the bottom always but Have a 5 inch top? (like TextBox1.Dock = DockStyle.Bottom + 5 or something)

I have a listbox on my form which gets items added as the program progresses, when there are more items than the box can display, the vertical scrollbar appears, fine... so far so good.I would like the scrollbar default position to be at the bottom of it's column so that the last entered item is displayed but can't find the relevant command, I assume there is such a command.

The user has a uid and usernamae but once the new form is generated where the user submits the query both these identifiers are gone. Is there a way in which I can overcome this?

View 6 RepliesI have Visual Basic 5.0 and need to print the full form in landscape mode. My form has lines,textboxes, and labels that need to be printed as they are on the screen. I understand that printform.print does not respond to changing to landscape orientation. I have tried the paint picture method, but did not like the quality of the text. I have also tried having a common dialog box before printing and even set the default to landscape, but the form still printed in portrait. Is there a way that I can print my form in landscape mode in Visual Basic 5.0?
