Im trying to make a form popup on the bottom right hand corner of my screen to display a message when the application opens.I know i can set the location in the properties but that may vary depending on the monitor the application is displayed on, how can i code it so that it can detect were the bottom right hand corner of any screen is ?

I'm using this code to minimize my application:[code]How do I make it minimize in the bottom right corner of the screen rather than the right? The only thing I tried asked for a pixel value. If someone uses a different resolution from me I need it to work for both of us.Oh, also, when I click on it minimized it opens a menu as if it was right clicked. Can I fix that?

Basically the form moves to the bottom of the screen so that the bottom of the form is at the bottom of the screen. It the increases the width of the form until it is the width of the screen. The height stays the same. So it fills the bottom of the screen.

This is like 2 way communication.How can i do something like this (door Kiosk system):when a visitor press a button on the LCD that come along a web cam (this will be the server), it will send the signal the client PC that is installed with the application i've created (window form) and pop up the images to the client PC (more like a 1 way communication). This image is captured through the web cam on the server to capture the visotor's image waiting outside of the door. How to do this?I'm really stuck as i'm not familiar with window API programming yet.

I am trying making a form to apear in the corner when a timer goes off. I have a loading function that loads all the times into arrays and sends it to a thread that runs a loop till todays date = date time. The problem I am having is I cant get the popup form to initialize properly. It either doesn't load the labels or background and the window is instantly unresponsive or it just blinks onto the screen and off before it does anything.

I problem is when the message window is thrown it is displayed just behind the splashscreen and user is not able to see the message and unable to understand whats happening while the SplashScreen is displayed as it is till he clicks ok on the message box.

Basically, I am trying to have a label, which scrolls smoothly. The scroll text will be the contents of a string variable. I was also wondering if it would be possible to have the entire scroll "disappear" as the end of it scrolls onto the left side of the screen, then it pauses for a moment, and starts the scroll again, playing an alert tone each time.

I still have problem when the message box stops, it displays all the forms together. All I want is when the message box stops, then it display the first form then stop to display the second then stop to display the last. The first form must stay for 3 seconds on the screen, then after 3 seconds the second appears then after 5 seconds the last appears.

So I'm trying to take a screen capture of the windows form and display only a certain specified area of that screen capture in a picturebox on a different form. Kind of like this. First, take the screen capture of the form: Then get a specified area of that form through x,y coordinates or something and display it on a picturebox on a separate form.
How to show the bottom part of the screen in the click of a button? On my site I have a picture and when the user clicks on this some more information is shown at the bottom of the page, althought i do have text at the top informing the user to scroll down once the picture is clicked it would be nice to automatically focus the page on the bottom half.
View 3 RepliesI'm writing a small app which I want to display a splash screen. The problem is my form 1 is appearing before the splash screen disappears. In fact is appears on startup blocking the splash screen. I have some code in form_load and have managed to figure out which line is causing the error, but I cant figure out why or how to prevent it.
The line reads
LoadSettings()
If I comment out this line everything runs fine and there's nothing in that sub that should affect form1. I'm doing this in vb express 2010.
