I have made a small program that record my screen desktop using windows media encoder.
The recording is working good. but wen I start record I can not open any folder in the desktop by double click.

I was looking up how to make a screen recorder when I ran into a source code that uses Windows Media Encoder SDK. I tried it out and it crashes saying that Data Execution Protection stopped the program. So, I debugged the program and found that when it creates a new instance that this is the cause of the crash. One of the things my VB.NET program does is play video files using the Windows Media Player component that comes with VB. My program also switches the WMP component to full screen but once in a while the form will be on top of the full screen video. I am hoping that you fine and knowledgeable folks cat this from happening. The problem occurs when the next video file is played automatically. I'll do my best to post a bit of code but since I don't have much of an idea what might be causing this I'll just have to guess. The project has gotten quite large over the years I've been writing it and if any more code ito post any or all of it, though I'm sure no one would like to go through all 1771 lines of it.

I had the idea of writing a program that would access this feed and send it to another computer (laptop) via my network. That way I would be able to watch TV from anywhere that my network spans. I'm writing a program which plays audio using a windows media player control. It's quite basic but I'm running into a problem.

For some reason when this appears in my code, the sound doesn't start playing until AFTER the sleep. I have music running in the background, using another windows media player control, that continues playing just fine.
Basically, I want nothing else to happen for the duration of the sound, hence the sleep, so how can I make it so my sound starts playing BEFORE the sleep?
Where should I go to leanr to program stuff like getting keystrokes, locking keyvoards, changing desktop backgrounds, opening CD trays, changing IE homepage, etc.... Basically everything windows... I'm using VB.NET right now. Is there an api or something to learn for this kind of stuff?

I guess this is a reference issue, but I have added references to WMP libraries (axinterop.wmplib.dll and interop.wmplib.dll). The WMP works on the XP machine, but not when called from my application.I have searched the web now for 5 days and changed references, and reinstalled the media player on the XP machine, but nothing works.

Grid rows is not fixed and so size is calculated dynamically so that grid do not have scroll bars . when I run my application on different desktops it works perfectly. But when I open the application on laptop for same resolution it shows the scroll bar. Do I need to write different code for laptop and desktop for user control size or any property which need to be set to check it. one more thing Grid is set dock and user control is also set as dock in a panel So I do not wrote about anchor property.

I have seen many videos and things on how to make one, but all of these just take multiple pictures and then don't compile them into a movie file, and I don't want to take many pictures (unless that is the only way possible.) I am using Visual Basic 2010 Express and I have looked at the Windows Media Encoder, but I can't seem to figure out how to use/implement it (yes, I have downloaded and installed it.)
