Put The Contents Of A Collection (Info) Into A Text Box?

With this code, I tried to put the contents of a collection (Info) into a text box but it didn't work. I would be glad if someone can examine it and tell me what is wrong. (Visual Studio builds the program fine and runs it, but when I click on Button3, this comes up:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.ArgumentException' occurred in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll
Additional information: Argument 'Index' is not a valid value.

I am working on a media player, and I would like to setup a local playlist feature. I am using a single ListBox and its "Display-" and "Value-Member" properties. I can't seem to find any answers that work. Here's the setup:

maybe I just don't understand the whole collection/index/thing. All the examples I've found are regarding single dimension collections - 'how to find name within this collection', and the responses use strings to search through them, but somehow the Info class is being treated differently, and I'm not sure how to translate this..

I am trying to come up with a way to store 3 pieces of information for each employee in the company on a daily basis. So for instance:
Day 1: Joe, 8, 80
Day 2: Sam, 10, 90
Day 3: Bill, 5, 40
Day 4: Bob, 8, 40
Day 5: Sue, 2, 50
I am very new to collections and most of the applications that I build are Create, Read, Update and Delete type applications that don't really need arrays so I have almost no experience with either.

While working with an excel file (.xlsx), the data I get from it is an IEnumerable(of Dictionary). When I bind this to my datagrid, I get the problem that I only see 2 columnsI've been tracing this problem and discovered that in the first row in the excel, there are only 2 values (cell C and D). I think the binding to datagrid looks at this first row to create its headers. This results in my datagrid only showing columns C and D.

I have a Motor Class, along with a Collection to hold objects address. Each Collection object holds the Class fields as a String to display in list box. I am able to write the collection string to the file and save the string. But unable to open the existing file, read the file back into the collection object.

I have this Quiz software that lets you create online multiple choice quizzes which are great for studying (I am in grad school and I'm trying to use everything I can to learn). So the Quiz software is great but it only lets you input questions by hand, one by one. I took a look at the .xml file that the quiz program spits out and came up with the idea to try and make a converter so that I can import many questions at once. I was hoping to try and solve this limitation by doing the following:
Take a .doc that say a tutor gives us with a bunch of practice questions, and then take that into Crimson Editor, and then format it so the question is on line 1, the multiple choice answers are on lines 3,4,5, and 6, (for the next question, the question would be on line 11, and the answers on lines 13, 14, 15, and 16, and so on) and then take that saved .txt file into my program, hit the generate button, and it will spit out the .xml file, and then import that into the quiz software to generate the online quiz.

I figured out how to open a text file by watching simple youtube tutorials, but I don't know how to have it generate the stuff and have it show up in the bottom text box. I know how to do the coding to convert the txt to proper xml code but I don't know how to be able to save the contents of the bottom text window to an xml file.

I have a patient register form in my project...When the patient details will be saved in the database it should also be saved in the text file...I am dynamically creating a folder with patientid and firstname in that folder I am creating a text file patientreg.txt and it should contain the contents of text file....

where can I find information on how to take info from a text box and save it to a file and later retrieve the info and print it out on a printer or back into text boxes? Also creating a database.Example. The Database will contain a list of customers. Within each customer profile there could be any number of databases for just that customer. and with in each database there is a system to keep track of different things.
Main Database = List of different Customers
Customer Data Base = List of different key systems.
Customer database key systems = list of key generated and if the have used that number or not. (Along with other info)
Where is a good place to start.

This is the only way I know how to obtain the info I need for this equation but if generated again with no input from the textboxes I get an error. Is there anyway to bypass this if its generated a second time with no inputs?

I am building a program to populate an Excel invoice template. The program works for the most part, except for one odd flaw. The program calls a module which first checks that two text boxes on a form have been completed. However, whilst the program does see when one of the text boxes has not been filled in (txtContact) it doesn't see the other (txtCustomer) even if I change the name of the text box to check it still only responds when the the other text box is empty.

make a diary style application where a password must be typed in then when that is typed in it is possible to view and edit the text. I have it all working but the only problem is that I don't know how to save the text box's contents. I have read a few threads and haven't found an appropriate answer. The problem is that since it's supposed to be a diary I would like to save the text so that it may not be read, preferably not by making another file but by storing it in the program?

In a project I'm working on studying Regular Expressions in matching text in a text box to the regular ezpression. The indexes and lengths of matches in a text box are stored in a list box. When I click an index, I use the info to set the text box selection Start and Selection Length so I can quickly observe all of the matches in the text box by clicking or using the arrow keys to scan through the text box listings.
It works great except when large amounts of text are in the text box, some of the matches are scrolled off the visible area of the text box so it is necessary to manuall scroll throught the text box, which reduces the usefulness of the setup.Is there a way to get the text box to automatically scroll into hidden text that is marked with the selectstart and selectlength so they are all automattically displayed when the list box is clicked?

I am doing an assignment for my intermediate programming class. It is due tonight at 730. Anyways, I am almost finished, but I have run into a snag. I have this "bank application" and we are storing the info in a text file. However, whenever there is a deposit or withdrawal, the "accounts.txt" file is to be updated. All of the new account info is being written to a "Temp.txt" file and eventually will be renamed to the new "Accounts.txt" file. The problem I'm having is that it isn't writing non-updated account info to the temp file and I don't know how to make it do that while keeping the accounts in order and not rewriting the same account info more than once.

I pretty much understood how to write text to a file, but I cannot grasp how to READ the information. After I read the information, I would like to add each seperate line to a ListBox. Each line in the text file is a file path for a music file, as the file I wish to read information from is a "custom extension" playlist file. I know what to do after I get the file path, but I do not know how to get the file path from the playlist.

Is there a way to save all info for a button on onw line of text.example:

I will then save txtbtnInfo to a settings file. Then when the form loads reset the button with
Button1 = txtbtnInfo
I have an app were the user can edit the size, color, and text of a button and I am hoping for an easy way to save this infomation. I am now saving the properties separately.

I am a beginner using Visual Basic 2008. I have a problem and can't figure out the code for the following. I have a form that contains two text boxes into which the user types information. When the user clicks on one of the textboxes it becomes blank and it's contents are displayed in the other text box. I seem to be using the correct codes but can't get it to work right. I need to scan all files on our solution (aspx, js, ascx, etc). Our solution contains 22 projects all in all. What I need to accomplish is to search for all files which contains "img=" in its content (not filename containing "img") I don't want to do this manually of course (opening and checking files one by one).
