Read Data From Multiple Files?

I have 500 odd csv files that I need to pick up and load into a table in Teradata.How do I combine this 500 files data into one file Or is there a script that will go and fetch data from each file and load it into the table.Here are more details.I have a bunch of hotels and the end of each day all the hotels dump in one file into a common folder.

Here I get files in the following format.

Now I need a script to pick all these files data and load it into one file so that I can use this file to insert data into a table using a fast load script i already have.I have a script that will read this file copy it to a new location and archive it.I can use this final file to load my table.But I dont have a script to read all these files and also read the new file that comes in everyday and load it into one csv file.

What I am trying to do is create a conosle app in vb.net 2008. I have a XML file (data_file.xml), and a template file (template.txt). The template file contains a few sentences, each one containing a placeholder which needs to be filled. I need to create multiple output files (.txt), which contains the contents of the template file, with the placeholders filled with the values of the placeholders in the XMl file.
The XML file is at the moment:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
- <CATALOG>
- <group>
<placeholder1>Nigel</placeholder1>

As it stands, I can create one template file, containing the filled template contents using only the first group of placeholders. I am nearly there, just trying to finish the last piece of the jigsaw.

I got this .dbf file with 80,000+ objects. Using vb.net 2008 I am trying to export the data from the .dbf into a .mdb file. Problem is that when I try to open the mdb file in Access, it says that the file reached the maximum limit of records. I found out that .mdb files could only hold 32,700 + objects in one database.
Is there another way around the maximum number of objects such that I could fit 80,000 object in it? If not, is there a way to, instead split the data from the datagridview into several parts that can be saved into multiple .mdb files?

I would like to develop a program (in VB2008) that can send files directly from one computer to another through the internet.
I figure there would be one program on the sending end and a separate on the receiving end. A server and client perhaps?
Anyway, I need to know how to send a file on the host machine in a simple method that is least likely to be blocked by anti-viruses and such. The fewer issues that result in a failed transfer, the better.
Also, note that my goal is to molulize this code (later) so it can be reused for multiple applications such as file sharing, gaming, etc.

I'm trying to write a program that will take emails that I have saved from outlook as text files and scan it for specific data, and return those strings to a textbox (i will modify it so it outputs the exact way i need it, i just need to grab that info faster than it takes by hand). I dont know how to go about actually grabbing that specific data.

There can be only one grouping (denoted with asterisks, they are separated in the emails like that as well), or 50 and any number in between. I only need the information as shown in the text file example above (sometimes, it is blank or not there - if that's the case just skip and messagebox.show to alert me that it was skipped).

Question: How do I programmatically determine which provider to use (Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 vs Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0) when my app runs as a 32-bit process on a machine with Office x64 installed?
I'm developing a VB.net WinForms app in VS 2010 and targeting both x86 and x64.The app processes data from xls, xlsx, mdb and accdb files using System.Data.OleDb:Dim oConn As OleDbConnection = New OleDbConnection("Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=...")
The x64 version of the program works as expected. The x86 version works as expected on a system with Office x86.When I run the x86 version on a machine with Office 2010 x64, I get the following exception when trying to open a connection:
The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.I believe this is because I'm running Office 2010 x64 so the x86 data access components are not installed.I can get it to work for Office 2003 files (*.mdb and *.xls) by changing the provider to Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0.

I'm designing a PC-based app that has a little local database. I'm using VB.NET with SQL Server Compact Edition. The user will only ever have access to one database file, because it's all about storing a user specific data. However I'm thinking of the situation where there could be multiple users that access the PC, each with their own Windows account. So ideally I'd need separate database files for each User.
I'm not sure how to implement this. I was hoping to deploy the 'empty' database as a ClickOnce deployment, but I can't see how I can have a database per user doing this. Also I'm not sure where to store the database files anyway. perhaps in MyDocuments for each user? Or perhaps I need to stick to just one database, but add a 'User' column into every table, so it can hold data for every user. I didn't want to do this though - because I wanted to keep the nice separation between the data offered by physically separate files.

I have a website that has highly granulised access and hence requires many web.config files. The problem is I would like to trim the menu so that only certain users will have access to certain folders. I have enabled trimming and setup roles in the sitemap, however when I access the page the menu is not show, as I am authorized to view the default page which is not in a subfolder. When I type the url of a page in sub folder's I have access.
How should I handle this:
A site map for each web.config file - don't know how this will work Removing the sub web.config file to only use a single one

The drive is connected via USB and the problem I'm having is that, periodically, while my code is executing, the usb drive seems to disconnect and reconnect. (Nothing to do with the program, but the drive itself).I want to find a way to prevent these temporary drive reconnects from interrupting my code. IE, i want to insure that whatever read or write that is requested is actually executed even in the case of a temporary drive interruption.

When I open my application I can write stuffs and then it will save it to my hosting/server. Then, the application will read the text which I already save.. I'm developing an application to help law enforcement retrieve and analyze logs and other files left by the use of Pidgin (a multi-protocol messenger client). Right now I'm nearly done, but I want to add the ability to search chat logs for user-defined words or phrases and I don't even know where to begin.
Chat logs are stored as html documents in a folder/sub-folder/sub-folder/sub-folder fashion, where each sub-folder can have dozens of sub-folders inside of it, and the final sub-folder can have dozens if not hundreds of chat logs. If anybody could point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.
(Also, this is the first program I've written since about 2005, and I'm essentially teaching myself VB as I go. If you'd like to see what I've cobbled together so far, you can find the program here.)

I'm trying to copy multiple excel source files into one excel file. My current code is working only for 3 source files..If more than 3 files are there, it doesn't copy the data but creates blank work sheet in the output excel file. Lets say I have a source folder with 5 excel files. Each workbook contains one worksheet with data. It copies upto 3 worksheets along with data into output excel file.
Lets say excel1 contains A as work sheet, excel2 contains B as work sheet ,excel3 contains C as work sheet ,excel4 contains D as work sheet ,excel5 contains E as work sheet .Now my output excel file should look like..OutputExcel with A, B, C, D, E along with respective data.But my current code is giving output as A,B,C worksheets along with respective data but its creating blank sheet1,sheet2 in place of D & E.

Im working on a HSD 32 bit data bus to serial converter via a microcontroller. Now first I want to make a sort of data sniffer to read the data bus (32Bit) .All on the controller side is working and the stream of bytes are coming in via RS232 as 4 bytes in HEX like FD,A5,45,8B . I already converted the bytes in Dec and ASCII to determine what is passed true the bus and how fast and stuff.. Now that is all correct and working very well if the LSB (least significant bit) of the 32 data bus is Data line 0 and the MSB (most significant bit) is Data line 31 but if that is not the case I need to invert the 32Bits (like as I would invert the connector on the bus) . How do I best do this using the 4 bytes I send from the micro controller.
Example:
(MSB) 01001000 01100101 01101100 01110000 (LSB)
HEX= 48 65 6C 70
DEC= 72,101,108,112
ASCII= H E L P
I need to invert it with a button to:
(MSB) 00001110 00110110 10100110 00010010 (LSB)

Im designing a program that will read from various text files (preferably RTF files) and then put them into the RTF box in the program when a button is clicked.
Here is the portion of my code that i am referring to.

i have a big problem here when i want to insert 6 data into 6 different row in 1 click.
in field @ form it have name, staff no.,items, quantity and date. We can select 6 items to insert which i use ComboBox for save the data in form.
