Auto Increment Value To Textbox In Ms Access 2003, Vs 2008
Nov 4, 2011I have a form and some controls as dropdown and textboxes..
The situation is that when the form loads, i want the value in textbox to be incremented, everytime it loads..
This is something i tried.. I get the value '1' everytime !! It shows no sign of increment..
However, i also want it in the format 0001,0002 if possible..I tried something like this..

Auto-populating Text Boxes On An Access 2003 Form When Value Selected In Combo Box
Jul 13, 2010I am building a form in access database.
I have a combo box which is linked to a query which is looking up a unique reference number from a table called Tbl_Submitted_Requests.
What I need the form to do is auto populate the other text boxes when the user selects the unique reference from the combo box. How can I get the text boxes to auto populate with the data that is associated with each unique reference?

Jun 21, 2011I'm using a System.Timers.Timer in a service that seems to keep ticking after it has been disabled. I'm using autoreset = false so I would expect it to only tick once unless I start it up again. I'm calling stop again, just for good measure, but the timer keeps on ticking.I'm using VB.NET in .net 1.1 and don't have the option to change frameworks.Here is a simple console app to reproduce the issue. This is not the actual code from the project.I believe the interval is long enought to prevent any thread issues in raising the event multiple times, but I will admit I'm not a threading expert.

Little Script/.NET Code That Will Prevent Auto-logout In Windows 2003 Server Edition?
Apr 3, 2011I have a Windows 2003 server that we regularly RDP in to monitor some programs that we set up to run on the machine automatically.However, the server will automatically log me out after a few minutes of inactivity. Unfortunately the server admin (who has the admin rights to the server, which I don't) is reluctant to remove such restrictions "for security reasons".
Therefore, instead of me trying to fill up 10000 piece of paper getting a security exemption, I am just wondering if there is any tiny program that I can run on the server (either a script or some VB.NET code) that will trick the server into thinking I am constantly typing something even though I am not (For example, as if I am moving my mouse cursor once every 30 seconds or type any letter then erase it in notepad)?Note that since I do not have admin rights, any installation is certainly out of question, and the script, if any, can not require admin rights to run properly.

Jul 17, 2009I have a program in VB.NET 2005. At some point I have to open an Access2003-Application for getting data in it. I do that by pretending my program is a human user and let it do all the work in Access as a human user would do. Filling Fields, pressing buttons etc. I use the Primary Interop Assemblies for that. So far so good. That code is in use for over half a year now. In the last week I got Office 2007 installed on my machine. Of course I tested the installed version of my program if everthing still works. Every test was succesfull. But if I do the same tests in Visual Studio it always crashes.
All I get is this Errormessage: {"Das COM-Objekt des Typs "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Access.FormClass" kann nicht in den Schnittstellentyp "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Access._Form3" umgewandelt werden. Losing An Access DB Password On Compact : How To Reset From VB
Jun 9, 2011My VB.NET program compacts and repairs my DB, but somewhere in the process unsets the database password. No problem, just reset it through VB, right? Ummm... not sure how to go about that task. So I either need to know how to compact it without losing the password, or how to reset the password after I lose it.

Convert Access 2003 / VBA App To App?
Jan 29, 2007i have done some research on converting an existing app to VB.NET, but have not found what I am looking for.
My existing app is currently created in Access 2003 VBA using access forms, modules, tables queries etc., and would like to convert all of it to VB.NET.
What would be the best method or tools to use to accomplish this? The VB.NET app would be developed from VisualStudio 2005..

IDE :: VB Intellisense In Access 2003?
Dec 1, 2010I'm doing database development in Access 2003, and the Visual Basic portion of it is acting up. It seems to be "refreshing" itself constantly. Two very frustrating problems are occurring because of this: 1) Intellisense for properties and such pops up but immediately disappears and turns red and 2) it's automatically checking the syntax of lines before I can finish typing them.
The problem seems to be intermittant. Some forms in the database operate fine while others immediately turn the line red two seconds after I start typing. I am having this problem on both of the computers that I use on a regular basis.

i receive an error. Why? Conflicts between access 2003 and vb.net 2010? SQL Server is better?And another question. My Regional settings regarding the date is d/M/yyyy but in my vb.net example, the @date1, @date2 parameters accept M/d/yyyy dates. Is there a way to define into the parameters the d/M/yyyy specification?

Jan 9, 2010The limit of an access database. Because I only know of manipulating access 2003 database with vb.net. And were going to make an information system for a small hospital for our project. Is ms access still usable for a hospital with over 2000 patients per year? some database if the ms access that I'm using no longer fits for our project.

Sep 30, 2011I am creating a Microsoft Access 2003 database which will be using Visual Basic code in the backend.I have a form called frmReports. On this form are three option groups consiting of checkboxes. What I want to happen is if one of the checkboxes is checked, then the other two option groups are made invisible.
The context of the problem is a teacher is reporting on pupils. If a pupil is marked as being absent from class, the other two option groups (Behvaviour and Homework) disappear as no other information can be input.

Write To Access 2003 Database?
May 11, 2009I am using VB2005. I am trying to write to an Access database seperate from the data's origin. AKA: I need to run a query getting data from one Access table and write it to a table in another Access database.
Overview: I need to get data from one Access table and two Excel worksheets. I need to write the data to an Access database so I can run a query combining the three into one table. I will then use the table to create reports.
I have googled, checked multiple sites, and checked MSDN. The only thing I have been able to find is populating a datatable and writing changes back to the database. This was SO easy in VB6.
