View 1 RepliesI'm working on a project and my boss insists I use a DataGrid for this. The grid holds information for work orders, one of the cols has a check box in it. I need the user to be able to select any number of those checkboxes/rows and then return a value to the table "stamping" that users ID. This is what I have so far to get the grids populated... I'm using 2005 with a 2000 Access Database if that helps. Though this will be changed to SQL Server once we get it working (yay more work)...

I removed the code from the second grid to make it easier to read, obviously once I can get one to work the second shouldn't be as much trouble.
This is the check box: dgvNewBiz.Columns(1).HeaderText = "Select"At this point if someone knows how to get it to recognize the click event of the check box and pass that row info to a variable that would be super as I'm sure I could probably figure it out from there.

View 1 RepliesI have a ASP.Net Web application hosted on a server. I want to restrict same user to login on different machines over the network connection but with certain conditions to be satisfied. So I thought of adding three new columns to the User table so that we can track if same user is logged in on same or different machines.
Those columns are like :
IsLoggedIn : To check if the particular user is already logged in or not.
SessionID : To check if the same user instance is opened.
IPAddress : To check if the same user is on same or different PCs.
This should satisfy some of the below conditions, but it fails to satisfy some of them. Conditions are as follows :
Both computers are on the same LAN.
Each computer is accessing the application over the internet from different locations.
Each computer is accessing the application over the internet from the same location.
Some of the application hosted which means that IP address alone is not sufficient to distinguish different computers.
Some users just close the browser without logging out. So sessions may not be ended at this situation.
How to accomplish all these conditions to satisfy with my application ?
Mainly 4th and the 5th .
I want that when the application exe file is running at that time the database associated with the application shud be closed....Means...I am using the .mdb file.

If they click Change button a combo box is displayed that allows them to change what was originally in the textbox. The combobox is updated with whatever was in the textbox as shown below.This all works fine but the user can add something in the combo box that is not in the list which is bad.

I'm using Visual Basic 2010 express, and I can't seem to be able to figure out how to make a button_click event select all of the checkboxes in a CheckedListBox. For example, I created a checkedlistbox with about 34 entries in it, all of which can be checked. So I decided, to make it easier, I would just make a Button with "Select All" on it, but I don't know what kind of button_click event would select all of the items withing my checkedlistbox.

I've got code to allow the user to import an image to the document they have opened, however right now, the image displays at it's default size, and well, if it's a large image, the document stretches and looks like crap. I want the user to be able to select the image after they insert it, and have the handles show up on the corners so they can resize it, and would also like to have it allow them to move it around the document if possible.
