But it won't select any checkboxes inside a flowlayoutpanel. Is there a way to select all checkboxes in the form or to save some lines by saying all 3 controls?
I am making an invoicing application. I have a label (lblCost) inside of a UserControl (InvoiceEntry) inside of a FlowLayoutPanel (pnlEntries). InvoiceEntry represents a line item on the invoice, and pnlEntries is the "body" of the invoice. pnlEntries can hold several InvoiceEntry controls.
I am attempting to sum all of the lblCost values from each InvoiceEntry control to make a subtotal, and I want that subtotal to change automatically if costs are changed (e.g., a change in quantities being ordered). Is there a way to handle when the lblCost.Text property of any of the InvoiceEntry controls contained within pnlEntries changes?

I'm sure I can figure out how to do it in code, but I thought there was a property of the ListView. View 3 RepliesIn my windows application I have a normal panel inside a flowlayoutpanel In this normal panel, i have some input controls(e.g. labels, textbox...) I have set the anchor properties thinking that it will auto-resize when I resize the window. But when i tested it, only the flowlayoutpanel auto-resize itself, as i can see that the sroll bar has moved further toward the right... the contorls in the normal panel didnt move at all.

I'm working on a project and my boss insists I use a DataGrid for this. The grid holds information for work orders, one of the cols has a check box in it. I need the user to be able to select any number of those checkboxes/rows and then return a value to the table "stamping" that users ID. This is what I have so far to get the grids populated... I'm using 2005 with a 2000 Access Database if that helps. Though this will be changed to SQL Server once we get it working (yay more work)...

I removed the code from the second grid to make it easier to read, obviously once I can get one to work the second shouldn't be as much trouble.
This is the check box: dgvNewBiz.Columns(1).HeaderText = "Select"At this point if someone knows how to get it to recognize the click event of the check box and pass that row info to a variable that would be super as I'm sure I could probably figure it out from there.

I have 3 checkboxes on a groupBox, when the user presses "OK" i was first wanting to validate that at least 1 checkbox was ticked before commencing, if they haven't selected any i was going to throw an error up, i'm stuck on how to do this i'm sure a for each, but i can't seem to figure out the syntax.
View 3 RepliesI have been dynamically adding user controls to my panel. This user control has a height of 105. If I have my FlowLayoutPanelwidth to only show 1 "column" of controls, it will only display 296 of them. The rest of the controls are grayed out at the bottom of the flowlayoutpanel. If I widen the flp to allow 2 "columns" of controls, I can see 592 of them, with the remainder grayed out at the bottom. I have gone in and resized the user control to make it shorter in height, which works in some respects (i.e. it works when I have two columns, but not just 1), and can go forward with this work-around.
So, I guess my question is, why does the FlowLayoutPanel behave in this fashion? It seems (based on what I saw) that there is a limit to how much data the FLP will show at one time.
When I add my user control to a flowlayoutpanel its going left to right even though the flowdirection is set to TopDown

Any example will do - opening it in default picture browser, using it as panel background or using it as a picture for separate picturebox - anything will do - I simply do not know how to get the file name assiciated with the particular picturebox in the flowlayoutpanel.

I have a flowlayoutpanel with a number of buttons in it - I simply want to be able to click and drag a button and reorder it. Sounds simple but its driving me mad! But it walks through once, then it comes with error:
Unable to cast object of type 'System.Windows.Forms.Label' to type 'System.Windows.Forms.CheckBox'.
There are indeed labels within 'frameSearch', but I thought that the "For Each cb as Checkbox" would loop only through all checkboxes..? Following does work, but it seems a bit of waste of CPU time, since it will loop through all controls!
