I use the binding navigator in my application, but when the resolution of the display gets to small and I have to use the scrollbars I get a problem. the scrollbars automatically scrolls down below the navigator bar instead of showing it when the window loads.

I am creating a modal popup window using the Telerik RadOpen function on an Asp.Net webpage.The popup window appears correctly, but the parent window refreshes and scrolls the popup down the page. View 3 RepliesMy code is basically a file parser/editor and it handles most files fine as they hold a handful of records concerning family members. However there are a few files that crash when trying to deal with them. Here is the problem.Each family member record creates 3 tabs that hold an average of 3 group boxes each. Each group box holds an average of 3 text boxes.So each member record creates 3x3x3 = 27 text boxes and some files get up to 289 family members which = 7803 text boxes.
The problem is the rare file with 400+ member records = 10,800 text boxes which causes a crash due to using up all the window handles. Each member has a separate tab page (with 3 subpages) but really only a dozen or so member pages are visible in the GUI with scroll arrows to move through them so I was thinking of somehow making the GUI a scrollable window so the tabs get built, displayed and disposed as the user scrolls left and right through the member tabs.
The files are parsed into a 3d list DataList(x,y,z) where x is the page number, y is the group box number and z is the text box number. So all the data is available. The code then traverses MyList and builds GuiList(x,y) where x is the page number and y is the groupbox number with all the textbox.text linked to MyList(x,y,z) locations so all text changes are reflected in the MyList.
I already have a memberCount variable and I am thinking of building, say, the first 30 member tabs with the middle 10 being visible in the GUI. If the selected tab > 20, then dispose of the first 10 tabs and create tabs 30-40.I am thinking I will keep all the member tab pages so I don't have to deal with inserts and indexing problems but just dispose all the group boxes and text boxes for tab pages out of view. I already have a deep clone sub that clones members when the user wants to add a new family member and I am thinking I will have to add something similar when a tabpage is passed in for disposal, it traverses and disposes each text box, then disposes the group box for each group box on the tab page.Additionally, another routine will rebuild the group boxes from the data held in MyList(x,y,z) when a tabpage(x) is passed in.
I am using following code to raise UAC window. It works fine but my form that contains button to raise this window is shown twice. I mean if I put it in CopyFiile Button, when I click this button, it raises UAC windows, copies file, gives success message and then opens another instance of the same form that contains copyfile button.

but if the email has attachment picture(NOT AN EMBEDDED PICTURE) then the Browser automatically display that image to the center of the browser for example the last line of the html code is <CENTER><IMG SRC="CID:{A4BE96B0-6195-4D93- 45E-97D4B1CA3539}/nature2.jpg"></CENTER> but actually the email dose not has this picture as embedded but is only an attachment ,and the browser is displaying it.
is there any way which i can easily disable that functionality or i should modified the code and replace that string with nothing. ?

I have a form (f1) and a popup form(p1). On f1, when I click on a button, I call p1 like such:

and in p1, I have a progress indicator that shows a long running process. The problem is that p1 doesn't show. I tried invalidate, update, refresh, doevents, etc. (both in f1 as well as p1). Nothing. p1 just doesn't show.
I have 2 desktop programms..I will call them P1 and P2.So, P1 launches P2 as a process. However, at some point I want to be able to show a window in P2. My problem was that this window, when called, was showing correctly placed, in the middle of the screen, but in the back of P1.So, in order to show it as the top most window, above all others applications running on my computer, I used the windows API:

View 1 RepliesI am trying to show a message box when an error occurs in a modal dialog window but for some reason the message box is never shown although I know the MessageBox.Show method is being hit. The try catch block is inside of an event handler for a windows form that is being shown as a modal dialog. I know that the event is being fired and that the error is being caught but the message box never opens. I've replaced the MessageBox.Show with another form show and it works fine but I'd rather use MessageBox instead of creating my own error form. I just can't seem to make MessageBox work. Is this a limitation of MessageBox? Here is a simplified version of what I am doing:

I made the awful mistake of using a module instead of a class. Now, I have a control, (who inherit from a web browser), hidden under a modal form. And I need to show his content (and being it clickable) to the user, but it is hidden, and I don't want to mess with the Showmodal of the hinder form. Until I modify my code, so I can do multiple instances of my browser, I need to show that control to the user on a third form. I think that I can temporary change the .parent property of the browser, so a third modal form shows it.
But I fear that I possibly made the browser control hard coded as working in the bottom hidden form, so If I change his parent, I may broke some logic. Is there a way to show the control on a third form, without changing his parent? (and still have it clickable). I know I are asking for trouble. It is only a short term solution until I move all my module into an instantiate able class. (And I remember had being advised to work ever with classes instead of modules. Now I learn the lesson the hard way).

I have tried to write a simple function to bring an Internet Explorer windows to the foreground and then press F5 to refresh it using the dll function: Declare Function SetForegroundWindow Lib "user32" (ByVal hwnd As Integer) As Integer
and then later call this function using:

However, when I tried to debug the code, the setforeground does not work.I am using a Windows 2008 (64 bit) so I thought I should use ToInt64 instead. However that did not seem to do the trick as well, when I called SetForegroundWindow, nothing seems to come up.
Is there any way in c# or VB to automatically move the controls in a panel when the window is resized. I do not want the Anchor property, which only resizes the control. THe use is that controls are added at runtime to the form, and when the locations/values are loaded on a computer with a larger monitor, they are in the incorrect positions.

VB Windows form Application.. I am developing an application of which part of the program is around configuration settings allowing the user to enter configuration items. When the menubar item for configuration menu is clicked on the main form the menu opens.This is fine but the mainform should not become active again until the configuration menu has closed. This does not happen right now and the mainform simply comes to the foreground and the configuration form goes to the background... I realize that coding an event on the Child form to handle this would not work because the child window loses control and the main form gains control.. I thought of coding a function as follows on the main form but it does not seem logical because i would have to add to it for everyform and do checking to make sure the child is actually open before trying to close it..
