Fill In Data Grid View With Columns And Rows To Form Complete View
Nov 11, 2010i have datagridview populated with stock code, name and description.And i have docked my datagridview to the bottom. so whenever the form is resized, the bottom section will be occupied completely with the datagridview.But i want to display one extra empty column and multiple empty rows to completely fill in the datagridview.The extra empty column width will be adjusted to the right end side of datagridview.And the no of empty rows will be generated based on how many is required to fill up to the bottomSo that i can create datagridview with full column and row even though some columns or rows are empty.

Visual Studio Dataset And Datgrid Calculation
Mar 4, 2010I have a dataset with a table. The table has three columns.The first column is a combo box with 6 company names loaded in it. The second column will allow my user to enter monetary values which are spending from whatever company was selected in the first column.The third column will calculate a percentage.After putting the table on my form, I would like to go through the table as the user enter the values and add the monetary values of the second column if they belong to the same company.Meaning that for example every time company A is detected in the combo box, its spendings will be added and displayed in a textbox in a different form.Every time company B is selected in the combo box, its its spendings will also be added and displayed in a textbox in a different form.and so on, and so on for all 6 companies.

May 22, 2009I bring data in from an access database using a sql query and then assign the data to a datagrid view. When i try to delete data from the table, it is removed from the datagrid, but the change is not showing up in the actual table.As a second question, is there a way to tag the specific row and send that back to the actual database for deletion? The way i have it set now, i think would delete all instances where digit, day, and office match, instead of just the selected record.

May 3, 2009I want to know if it is possible that the data grid view (DGV) rows dont stat at the top of the DGV, but start at the bottom. When I select de DGV it comes by default with the first row at the top, just below the column header, when I add a new row, it comes below the first row. But I want the first row at the bottom. And if I want to add a new row, it will come above the first row.

Jun 20, 2010I'm doing a simple search of rows in a DataGridView. If the search finds a record matching the search criteria that row gets selected. I just added the BindingSource.Find method
If the row I'm searching for is currently showing in the DGV's viewable area, then my code will find the record, if it's not showing, meaning you have to scroll up or down to see the record, my search does not find the record.
(Correction: It finds the record but the DGV does not scroll to have the selected row be in the viewable area.)

What I want to do is to insert in the two textboxes the user types Mike (in textbox1) and Bottomley (in textbox2) ,press the button search and stored the results in listview if he finds the row (and in this case it finds).
Here is the printscreen of my windows forms application vb.net (I am using visual studio 2008. So I type in the two textboxes Mike(textbox1), Bottomley(textbox2) press the button and it searches in my sql server table (if it finds -in this case I have this rows it's row1) it displays me the result in the Listview.

Select Multiple Rows In Data Grid View And Loop A Sub With The Values?
May 19, 2010I am almost there but for some reason I don't find the answer to my issue. Here it goes. In my application I have a form which displays a data grid view with some info I get through XML from a web server. The data grid view have as first column a Check Box colum. The second column have the information I get into a variable (from cells), one by one, to pass it to the sub with the XML command.
What I want to do is to be able to select all the rows and send the cell info of the second row (only for the selected rows) to my sub which will execute once then send the second cell info and execute the sub and so on until all the loop is complete. Currently my code works only if I delete one row at a time (sending the XML code will delete the info in the web server and update the datagridview which in return will remove the item).
