The web browser control that comes with visual basic 2008 is out-dated and is very slow to load a lot of newer web pages. How do I go about updating it?
Also, is it possible to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox instead? Would I be able to use code like this in any of the newer browsers?:

I would like for my program to navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines and multiple url links inside of it. I know how to make the webbrowser1.navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines, however I want my webbrowser to navigate to each url every 1-1.5 seconds once button1 is clicked. Yes, my webbrowser1 will navigate to the specified urls via the textbox1.text (multilines) with a button click, but I need the webbrowser1 to navigate in a order sequence from top to bottom of Textbox1.text (multiplelines) every 1 second. Simple text will be ignored, while standard blue color, underlined text with hand mouse-cursor will need no thinking on user's part.
I'm new to visual basic & have learned many new things in such a short period of time from being on the MSDN forums. I have learned particularly in the subject of automating web browsing control using the getattributes etc., but I have tried everything that I have seen in the forums to auto click the "Settings" link in a created gmail account and then have the browser automate the "Forwarding" to another gmail address. In a while loop, I am writing a progressively increasing integer value (between 0 and 100) to the Value attribute of a ProgressBar control, when it disappears from the window in which it resides. I have verified at the time that it disappears that the Min is 0, Max is 100, and Value is a valid integer in range.

I'd like to make a textbox that accepts only numbers, but not integer, but rather double.I've read here about e.Handled = Not Char.IsDigit(e.KeyChar) and it works, but again, it can be used only for integer, since it declines decimal point.Another thing I've read here is If Not Double.TryParse(TextBox2.Text, value) Then .... and it would work fine, except that it allows only decimal comma instead of point.
