I am writing a program that loads a web page then get data from the page for calculations. I can navigate to the web page but the code does not wait for the page to completely load before proceeding. I need a way to have the program wait for the page to load before proceeding.

I have a TextBox called textbox2 that contains the number of seconds I want to wait. I used to use wait 60 in VB6, but of course VB2008 is different.

I am venturing into WPF - first time in (VB).NET - and trying to re-create a project I started in MS Access VBA. It basically scrapes a series of pages within a web application. As you may have surmised I am having trouble with the LoadCompleted event.I have searched and found some information on it, but the "flow" of the code only lends itself to waiting for one page to load.url...All of the code execution is run in the DocumentLoaded event which works fine when you just need to navigate to one page and execute code. But I need to perform a series of these cycles for my application. How can I reliably wait for the document to fully load while still keeping the code execution in the same Sub AND not locking the UI thread? [code]That's it. Repeat for n times. my interactions with each DOM are significantly different.
View 2 RepliesAs part of my VB2008 Express edition app there is a web page containing help info. This web page is accessed locally from the app using a form containg a Web Browser control. The page (e.g. "foobar.htm") contains approx 15 screenshots - and so there is a directory ("foobar_files") associated with the htm file.
I can successfully add the help page to my project and then after installation access it from the apps startup directory (or copy it to the user's My.Documents directory) but I'm at a loss as to how to include the associated "foobar_files" folder and it's contents - such that after installation the web pages images become viewable in the apps WebBrowser control.
I have also tried creating the page + images as a single file web page (i.e. foobar.mht) format - but the VB2008 WebBrowser control doesn't seem to handle this.

I am trying to load a webpage into a web browser control that has a login form on it. What I am wondering is how I would go about changing the username/password input values on that page thru program code. The html element ids are "username" and "password" respectively. I am using vb 2008. I have tried searching but am getting mixed results with asp.net which is not what I want.

But the address is shown in the new window url box and when i click enter in the url box, then page is loaded. I didn't see this issue in IE7. I face this when i using IE8 in WinXP or Win 7

Now when i put the player on the webpage and put the webpage on the sever it cant play the video. But when i just pres the the player which is in swf format it works. It can download the video. View 1 RepliesI am practically a beginner at Visual Basic, and programming in general. I have created a simple falling bricks game in Visual Studio 2010. Every 100 milliseconds, it scrolls down bricks and if the player's position hits a brick, the player loses. I am having trouble with input.
I do not know how to make the computer accept left/right arrow keys as input, without having to wait for an input every 100 milliseconds. Here is the code:

I am writing an application to perform an automated task on a website. I am trying to write a script that logs into the website, then loads a certain page. I have to execute a javascript function after filling in the username and password on the login, but the WebBrowser object doesn't wait and does not log in. As a result, it loads the next page while not logged in. How can I wait until the application logs in before loading the next page? I tired using
