I am trying to get a form button to load the yahoo login webpage, wait until the send button was loaded and auto enter the username and password and hit the send button. My code is as follows

I have a WebBrowser Control in my VB.NET application. Now the it browses through many URLs (may be 10 - 20) and I want that each of the page HTML saved in text file. Now the thing is that when I write the HTML of page in file, it does not write the HTML of current page rather than the initial one because it calls the event before even the page is loaded.
How can I wait until the page is completely loaded before calling any event?
I tried the following code but it doesn't works.
Do Until WebBrowser1.ReadyState = WebBrowserReadyState.Complete Application.DoEvents() Loop
wait for the document to be loaded before moving to the next line?
I am trying to test the Forward and Backwards capabilities.. but if you do the following:
Dim i = New Form i.wbHelp.Navigate(New System.Uri("test.htm")) i.wbHelp.Navigate(New System.Uri("test2.htm")) i.ClickBackwards()
It doesn't run the DocumentLoaded or the Navigated() event until it is to late. To run integrated tests I would need to either wait for the result.. Or does the URI even get loaded at all if the Control is not visible?
I need my webbrowser to go to the page and wait for it to load so the bot can continue for example:
WebBrowser1.Navigate("url") 'wait for page to load if it loads to the next coding WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("Email").SetAttribute("value", (0))
how to get my program to submit user data into a login form and then wait until the next page is done loading so that it can examine the contents of the page and determine whether the login succeeded or failed. Here's my current code:
Public Class Dialog1 Private Sub Dialog1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Using VB.Net, how would I go about checking if a loaded page in a Web Browser object contains a certain line of text? Sorry if theres an obvious answer for this, I'm used to programming in Java.
I'm trying to login to a website wait for the page to finish loading then navigate to a page in this website. Here is what I came up so far Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("nickname").SetAttribute("value", "user")H [Code] ...... How to use the documentcompleted?
I am trying to write a program that will tell my grandmother whether the internet is live or not. I know, I know, She just doesn't get it. So I want to create a program to load google.com or something and all I want the program to do is tell her whether the site was found or not. Is there a way to do this with the WebBrowser control?
I am making this program that has a loop that goes to a website and fills in a form within the loop. But first, here is my code thus far
Dim message As String = TextBox3.Text Dim loopnumber As Integer = TextBox4.Text 'makes the necessary variables Dim browser As New WebBrowser Dim url As String [Code] .....
But what happens is that the loop runs a few times then it errors on the setattribute line (line 19 above) with NullRefrenceException was unhandled And I have a feeling that it is not loading the page fully before it tries to fill in the form.
I am Trying To Read Some Text From A Post "Text Area" On A Webpage, But I Also Want It To Paste Into My Textbox In Clear Text And Not The Html Source.
This Is My Code So Far: Private Sub ButtonItem1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles ButtonItem1.Click WebBrowser1.Navigate("[URL]") TextBoxX1.Text = WebBrowser1.document.GetElementById("post_message_1594").GetAttribute("Valve").ToString End Sub
I would like to use the WebRquest Class in Visual Basic to get the Inner Text or Inner HTML of a specific element in the requested web page. For instance, if the webpage contains an element with the id ="label1" and has inner text ="hello" then I should use the WebRquest to extract the inner text of the specified element and not the source of the whole page. Note that I do know the alternative solution , which is using the Web Browser Control . But unfortunately this is unsuffiecent for my application.
I need to grab some data from a webpage but for me the main problem is I can't grab the data the way I want. I want to grab the data in a listview control but my code is fetching all data within any span tag (span class "inputFieldLabel" which is not required) in a single column of a listview control. I am giving the format (source) of the webpage below and my coding in vb.net (2008),
<br> <span class="inputFieldLabel">Following Are ...</span> <span class="inputFieldLabel">01/02/2011</span> <span class="inputFieldLabel">And</span>
While navigating to a series of sites at one site the WebBrowser control's DocumentCompleted EVENT is tripped and no other recorded Browser events occur after that. When this happens the hour glass cursor indicates the browser is waiting. From this point it take 120 to 250 seconds of wall clock time before the browser resumes. I am looking for a way to force an abnormal termination without destroying the control. I have tried "Stop", "nav to about:blank" repeatedly without success. How can I force an abnormal termination when the Cntrl is in a wait state?
Consider the following: The last known Browser event to be tripped is a Document Complete event; nothing else occurs after this. When this transpires the Cntrl is waiting.

I have a number of rewrite rules for a lot of things that I did in IIS7, like removing trailing slashes, canonnical URLs, lowercase lettering, and such. IIS altered my web.config, and everything works fine on the website, like it should. But in the Visual Studio web.config, the opening < rewrite > statement is underlined in blue, and at the bottom of VS, it says that the element 'system.webServer' has invalid child element 'rewrite'. But this is how IIS made it. I didn't do this manually. Should I be concerned with this VS error, or should I just leave as be, since it's working how it should work? Here's an example of my web.config:
I have two rich text boxes, and two buttons on my screen. The first button grabs HTML from a URL and then converts the HTML to XML which resides in rich text box 1.
The second button is to grab the XML from the rich text box1 and then parse it to grab all the input elements by their ID.
My issue is that my parser isn't doing anything. My guess is that I'm not quite getting the XML from the first rich text box.
What would be the best way to grab the XML from a rich text box load it into memory and then parse the XML to grab all the ID tags?

Is there a way to control the way a browser behaves such as if I click on this link it doesn't navigate to that link but instead show me the source code behind that button?
I need to randomly pick an element from an array and I can only use that element three times,I can randomly pick the element but how do I go about only using it three times.
I have been doing well and also I am a noob I know it and you know it a lot has started making sense and I am evening figuring new things out without using Google but of course I have hit another snag in my program so here goes
I am waiting for an email to arrive (the page automatically refreshes) and then I want to click the link (I do not need to click to open the email or anything like that) I also have the code to click and navigate to the address reason being it was the only way I could figure out how to stop it opening in a new window on IE
So my only problem is I need a way to check every x seconds for the element and then if its there proceed with my code and if its not wait and then check again or however this is done in VB.If this is not the way its done please point me in the right direction the code I am using to find and then navigate to the link is
Dim emailpageelements As HtmlElementCollection = WebBrowser2.Document.GetElementsByTagName("a") For Each emailver As HtmlElement In emailpageelements If InStr(emailver.InnerHtml, "https://twitter.com/account/confirm_email/") Then WebBrowser1.Navigate(emailver.InnerText)
i have an aspx page with vb.net back end. in that page i get names and url's from the database depending on different conditions. My requirement is that when i get the url, the code should then use that url and have that webpage in a small preview form on my existing aspx page. so basically i have a table as follows -
I want to be able to reference an element in an array of structures by the name of the element in a visual basic 2010 function. For example
Public Structure myStruct Public element1 as string Public element2 as integer Public element3 as boolean
[code]...
Is it possible to reference a structures element by the element's name in a similar way to that shown above. The code shown above does not work, as the expression obj(i).[elementName] does not work as hoped.
