But when i read all the text i want my program to save it and every 30 seconds if the text has changed again do something else do nothing.

I would like to use the WebRquest Class in Visual Basic to get the Inner Text or Inner HTML of a specific element in the requested web page.For instance, if the webpage contains an element with the id ="label1" and has inner text ="hello" then I should use the WebRquest to extract the inner text of the specified element and not the source of the whole page. Note that I do know the alternative solution , which is using the Web Browser Control . But unfortunately this is unsuffiecent for my application.

I'm creating a reporting application in Windows Forms. The application will allow the user to browse and search within a database table, but I also want it to integrate with a 3rd party web page that reports on related information. I understand it's simple enough to view the web page, but, integrating with my application will be quicker and easier. The web pages shows "operational status" on individual recording systems for the call centre telephones. To make sure that these recording systems are working correctly, a list of the extensions whose recording systems aren't working is drawn up. I want my application to draw up this list automatically, but to do that, I have to get it off the web page first.

My program so far reads a certain webpage's source code and places it in a textbox. This much has already been accomplished.
Now I need to pick certain strings out of the rather large amount of text data and have the lines stored in variables, but the trick of it is, the exact string is unknown. The exact function should be, that the code finds certain tags from the source code, say <td> and </td> and takes the string data in between those tags, what ever it may be.
I'm trying to make an application which will log me into a site and read the text of the site and display a certain part of that text in my form. I'm stuck at the login, its a .php page with 2 text boxes, 1 check box and 1 button.Is there any way to manipulate those objects by using controls in my form?

I have a number of rewrite rules for a lot of things that I did in IIS7, like removing trailing slashes, canonnical URLs, lowercase lettering, and such. IIS altered my web.config, and everything works fine on the website, like it should. But in the Visual Studio web.config, the opening < rewrite > statement is underlined in blue, and at the bottom of VS, it says that the element 'system.webServer' has invalid child element 'rewrite'. But this is how IIS made it. I didn't do this manually. Should I be concerned with this VS error, or should I just leave as be, since it's working how it should work? I would like to bind the text field of a textbox to an element in an instance of a structure that I've created in a class module. When I try to create a Data Source using an OBJECT type, all I see in the tree is the name of the structure, not the instance I've created. If I select the structure anyway, the Data Sources tree does show the name of the structure and the element I'm interested in. How do I bind to a specific instance?

I am trying to narrow it down to only give me input elements of a form by ID that contain exact inner text labels before each input element.

I tried a few different attempts at doing this and I have no problem displaying the XML file on a webpage using the xpathnavigator class. But then i needed to format into an html table so i took another route and just added the xmldatasource with a formview. So here is my code for that
