I'm having trouble with a football program that I'm writing. I'm finding that there is a lot of flicker coming from the program having to redrawn 36 (Australian football) small circles with numbers in them about 10 times per second (or even more) as the players move.I'm just using basic e.graphics. fillellipse.code in the Paint section of the form. I then use me.invalidate on the timer's tick routine.I haven't touched this graphical stuff for a while and I vaguely remember there being some ways to help this. There are also things like the ground which I'd like to not have redrawn because they don't have to as they don't move. I remember that you can do this but I don't remember how.

how I could retrieve the date/time of the last Group Policy update. I have a crude routine that will search the Event Log for Event 1704, but this runs slower than I'd like. I was hoping there might be a way to get this info via Registry, WMI query, etc. that would work faster in my VB2010 program.

Message 1, Message 2, Message 3 and Message 4.I want my lblMessage to go through a loop every time the user refresh his browser, so that when he refresh it once the next message will be Message 2 and so on and so on.How would i do this in VB.NET or C#?
View 2 RepliesI have a class that has a readonly collection property - Its a list of extender providers that have been applied to the control.I've implemented a simple property descriptor for the collection so that the property can be expanded in the property grid to examine each entry.
When I select an extender provider and set it to false, I remove it from the collection. The GetProperties method of the type converter is requeried and the property grid refreshes.However, when I set an extender provider to true, and thus add it to the collection, GetProperties is not requeried.
Somehow, the property grid is making a distinction between adding to and removing from the collection. Or alternativly, its refreshing when an extender provider is added, but not when one is removed.

From my program TAPI will call the number. My problem is that its not raising any events. I really need CallStateChange. I raised it from address and moved it up to my TAPI Manager. I put break points everywhere and I can not get anything to raise.
I have a modem that CLAIMS to be voice, i still can not get it to do what I want.
1) The modem dials and makes my phone ring, when I pick it up the program does not reconize the event. I have to physically click on button that says Talk. Then my CallStateChanged fires.
2)My other issue is that I can not get any sound to come over the line. I essentially have a wav file that play nicelys on the computer but the modem is not picking it up. Is there some way that I can test the modem to be voice?
I have following code to resize the form at run-time but it does not work. Form size remains same. What could be the possible reason?

For example for extension 149 we are getting Extension 149 - Address # where # is 0 thru 208. Is there a way to just get "Extension 149"? Have downloaded some free utilities and they only show "Extension 149".Below is the same of code:

View 1 RepliesI'm writting what I thought would be a fairly simple TAPI program in VB.Net 2008 SP1 using the TAPI3Lib.dll. It is supposed to dial out a number and once connected play a wav file then wait for digit input. I got through the dialing but it seems I never get the CS_CONNECTED event letting me know the line was picked up. All I get is CS_INPROGRESS then the call is placed and a CS_DISSCONNECTED if I call the call.disconnect method.
I've double checked my registering for events and my event filter and they both check out (otherwise I wouldn't get the two call states I do get). Is there anything else I'm missing or is this normal? I'm calling out with a Conexant HDA D330 MDC V.92 Modem. The call is correctly placed, my phone rings and I answer it. The call state never changes to connected. If I hang up my phone you hear me hang up through the modem and you then hear a dial tone since the modem in the computer hasn't hung up.
I am trying to determine if a modem is busy. I have tried using serial ports which from what i can see just tells me that something is tied to a port or not. It does not tell me if the modem is busy.
My overall question is How do can I determine if a modem is busy? For an added bonus, also is there a way to tell what device is using a particullar port?
I'm looking at writing a application that interfaces with TAPI via the samsung open TSP. The problem I'm having is that after a few days research I am unable to find much info regarding coding for TAPI. There also appears to be alot of contradicting information out there too...

I have with a good level of success got a C# application to use TAPI to connect to my office PBX and dial and hangup calls but need to go further and be able to monitor activity and provide CTI to client pc's as well as integration back to my companies web based CRM.
I am focusing on the client app for CTI popups and dial/hangup functions as the phone number lookup to the CRM is relatively easy.
I initially started by registering one handset in the tapi that I could then dial and hangup, I even seem to have registered all the handsets on the system and to be able to dial from any of them but I don't seem to be able to get any activity logs as to when any of the handsets are ringing etc.
Does anyone have any example tapi code that can get me started or point me in the right direction? I can work with C++, C# or VB.Net as I am okay with any of them.
