Write A Metronome Program That Beeps X Times A Minute?
Oct 4, 2011
How to write a VB.NET metronome program that beeps X times a minute? I have tried several solutions but the down work. The sound is either delayed or doesn't occur at all.
I am trying to make a timer that beeps 3-5 times and runs a progress bar. All it has to do is click start (timer set for 2 minutes starts) and as time runs out the progress bar fills. When the time is up 3-5 beeps happen. I am missing the coding for the 3-5 beeps and design parts for it and all coding for that along with code for setting the 2 minute timing. There is no label for telling the time left or to go just a progress bar. Here is my code so far.
I have a program. Every now and then (every 1-2 hours) i would like this program to run, do its stuff, and then close. I don't want it running all the time, just for a minute or two before closing. Is there some kind of windows thing that will tell my program to run or must i make a 2nd program to do this for me? (If i have to make another program, then how can I keep it completely invisible?)
I want to build a metronome, which sounds a beep in a specified time interval. The beep has to sound exactly the right time, after all, is a metronome.I need a timer that runs events(tick event)accurately. The timer control is not for this.
I have the following function to read an excel spreadsheet and read a certain cell for a value and then I put it into my own List(of T). Everything works fine. However the one quirk I am running into is that as the "oExcel.Workbooks.Open(ExcelFileName)" executes, it does a "Windows Beep" sound.
I am working on a program in which I allow the user to quickly add strings to a textbox by pressing a key combination, such as ALT+S. Inserting the strings and setting the cursor to the right position works fine. Its just that windows makes an annoying beep as if an error was encountered every time I press the key combination. I am using the KeyDown event to handle the keystrokes, and I have tried e.Handled = True - without success. Here's a bit of code to give you the idea:[code]
VB2005 So I've created a pretty good and simple program to query a database and then export the data to a text file. i then transfer the file to a remote server via FTP. It all works really well and i have all the functionality setup with a button event. Now that its working what is the best way to have this program run automatically every day at 9AM and then shut down once its done. Im looking into a command line and also a service but wanted to see.
i am trying to make a coin toss program where you toss a coin a certain number of times then repeat it a certain number of times. the problem i have is "heads(counter2)" the word "heads" has a blue error line under it how do i sort the error out and also is all the code right
Public Class Form1 Dim tosses, repeat, heads As Integer Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
I may be doing this wrong but I want to call a sub when the user presses enter on a textbox. The sub then shows a window in dialog mode. When I close that window, the computer makes a ding sound. Why is that? Is there a better way for detecting enter being presses on a textbox and not getting that ding?
Create a simple Times Table program which will allow the user to enter an integer value n (between 1 and 20) into a textbox. On the click of a button output to a label the n times tables. Use a ForNext loop to perform the repetition.
shove in the right direction on this:My program is setup to instantiate/build five labels at run times, corresponding with those labels five texts boxes are built at run time. The user inputs four numbers into the first four text boxes and then when you click the total button, it totals the four boxes and outputs to the last text box
I've been looking at API and cURL and I'm thinking of creating a program for delicious which adds a bookmark for me a certain times during the day. They have an API page here which I think you use a cURL command to use but I don't know what any of this means
I reckon I could figure out everything except how to actually get the program to connect to delicious and add the bookmark, there doesn't seem to be anyone else using vb.net and cURL together so maybe there is a reason.
Im trying to create a program that can search files and display the amount of times that it has been encountered, for example it will show the number 4 because it will run into four instances of the word. Im kinda stuck on how to do this,
I want to enlarge an image, possibly up to 32 times or 64 times bigger than original dimensions (so that the user can see each pixel) if possible. The following is a simple function that I have to enlarge an image.
Private Function xEnlarge(ByVal Source As Image, ByVal Rate As Double, Optional ByVal Quality As Drawing2D.InterpolationMode = Drawing2D.InterpolationMode.HighQualityBicubic) As Image
could anyone please help me with this1.Create a simple Times Table program which will allow the user to enter an integer value n (between 1 and 20) into a textbox. On the click of a button output to a label the n times tables. Use a For Next loop to perform the repetition.i can output them to a list box but only last one to a label ive been stuck for 3 days.
I've written a keydown event that needs to occur multiple times during the execution of a program, and it needs to play a sound each time. The first time the keydown event is triggered, the sound plays without a hitch. However, the second time (and all subsequent times) the keydown event is triggered, a system beep accompanies the sound. I'm using Studio Express '10 and I've already integrated e.SuppressKeyPress into my code:
how i can write a program to create a shortcut in the startup folder of a different program. So i have one program on my computer that should run at startup, i just need another program to create a shortcut to it, and then copy this shortcut into the startup folder.
i have to write a program for my VB class that consists of a resistance checker program. I've searched like a madman to help me through this and I have found nothing >. The program consists of 2 combo boxes, the first one is the nominal resistance drop down list of the numbers :100, 150, 220, 330, 470, 680, 820 and 1000. The second list is of the tolerance numbers; +/- 0.4%, +/-0.6% and +/-0.8%. Now what i want to do is select a number from the first combo box and select the tolerance level of the second combo box and i input the resistor of said value into the text box. when i click the check resistor button it should display a message saying if the resistor is in or out of tolerance. For now I have the form all laid out and the values inputted into both combo boxes and i can go to run the program i am able to select said values. Now my problem is trying to get the right code so that i can check the resistors value.
