Run Program At Specific Times Every Day

VB2005 So I've created a pretty good and simple program to query a database and then export the data to a text file. i then transfer the file to a remote server via FTP. It all works really well and i have all the functionality setup with a button event. Now that its working what is the best way to have this program run automatically every day at 9AM and then shut down once its done. Im looking into a command line and also a service but wanted to see.

I'm building an application that will need to run a specific functions at user defined times I need help with setting up the schedule part of the app. What I would ideally like to do is be able to set up an "event" which will occur at a specific time and date or at a specific time on specific days such as 9:00 Monday's Tuesday's Wednesday's and Saturday's.

I got to work and only popup once instead of multiple times. But what Im wondering is It wont do that Unless I run the program AT the same time that is in the Cell. Im wondering if ma7ybe I should creat a new timer for each row then just have a timer constantly reading through the rows and to see what time is in the cell vs. System time or what.

I need some help working out the logic when retrieving specific times from a userform I have created. In my userform, users are required to input a start and a end time in 24 hour time format. I am struggling to work out how best to analyze the selected times in order to multiply them by a set of rates, the rates are quite simple:
DayHours rate (day time is between 07:00 - 22:59)
NightHours rate (night time is between 23:00 - 06:59)
I cannot workout the logic to ascertain how many hours have been selected for which rate in an elegant manner, my best attempts so far are clunky and not quite there.

i am trying to make a coin toss program where you toss a coin a certain number of times then repeat it a certain number of times.

shove in the right direction on this:My program is setup to instantiate/build five labels at run times, corresponding with those labels five texts boxes are built at run time. The user inputs four numbers into the first four text boxes and then when you click the total button, it totals the four boxes and outputs to the last text box

I've been looking at API and cURL and I'm thinking of creating a program for delicious which adds a bookmark for me a certain times during the day. They have an API page here which I think you use a cURL command to use but I don't know what any of this means
I reckon I could figure out everything except how to actually get the program to connect to delicious and add the bookmark, there doesn't seem to be anyone else using vb.net and cURL together so maybe there is a reason.

I've written a keydown event that needs to occur multiple times during the execution of a program, and it needs to play a sound each time. The first time the keydown event is triggered, the sound plays without a hitch. However, the second time (and all subsequent times) the keydown event is triggered, a system beep accompanies the sound. I am trying to figure out how VB can focus a specific program and then send commands to the program only. The focus would only be for the commands and would not make the program you are currently in lose focus. Simply, what it is controlling is a Windows Application called GOM Player. I use it to study my material for school. I plays movies in it and don�t have to click out of the application I am working in to pause, play or rewind. The keypad and the company who make it actually have it built into iTunes and it does exactly what I want GOM Player to do.
The reason I dont just use iTunes is because I can�t get my video files to play in iTunes. After pulling teeth with the manufacture I finally to tell me that the iTunes functionality is accessible via plugins built into iTunes. So trying to mimic what is being done there does not help. I believe that a knowledgeable VB programmer could answer my question in seconds, but having some experience with coding and programing I know it also could be a lot more than what I think. [URL]
The question is: What is way that VB can send the key for the macro only to the GOM Player Application even if it is not focused or even If it is minimized.

i'm trying to make a program that searches for a specific file in a specific file, so when the program loads it "writes" in checked list box the names of the drives installed to the computer, but what i want to do is: when the user checks the box, i want it to search for the file in that drive, but i don't know how to do it...

I have just started using vb.net and I have a checked list box with times throughout the day shown as
00:00 - 00:14
00:15 - 00:29
00:30 - 00:44
00:45 - 00:59
What I am trying to find is a way to get the current time and find which list item it fits into. What I think I need to do is to first of all get the current time and then go through the list splitting each item into 2 times and seeing if the current time fits. For example: Split the item 00:00 - 00:14 to 00:00 and 00:14 and then check if the current time is more than 00:00:00 but less than 00:14:59 and if so do certain task.how to go about taking each list item and splitting it into 2 separate times so I can check between them?

I want my program to be able to create a '.txt' file when it is run for the first time, with the date and time the program was accessed, and to be able to add new 'logs' of program history every time it is accessed. I am aware that if you wish to run a program at a specific time, the best way is to add it to the windows task scheduler. I have a forms application that accepts as input a text file and some button selections before the actual main runs.
Can this kind of program be scheduled? I realize I would have to hard code the inputs but does .net have any features to access the task scheduler?

I want to create a program in vb .net that let me know who is using a specific file? Because I often update an .exe file but if it's in use I can't overwrite it. So if I know who is using the .exe I can call him to tell him o close the app.

Is there a way of discovering if a specific program is running?
I want be able to call a program but have it wait to execute until another program has closed. Both these programs are in the Startup folder so I may have to make them mutually exclusive so that which ever starts second has to wait for the other to close. In the case of these two programs it's of no consequence which actually executes first, although it would be interesting to know if I could actually wait for one to open and close before executing the other.
