Write A Program That Checks A Website If A Certain Value Is Within A Limit?

im trying to write a program that checks a website if a certain value is within a limit and if not enters a value into a text box and submits the information. I have researched into httpwebrequest however i cannot quite figure out how to progress from page to page. I also found that i can do browser manipulation however I don't a browser to be a open while the program is waiting for a specific value. So is there any way to do something like browser manipulation without the browser?

I have a class that needs to check for errors in the data contained in a object.The routines that will check for errors could be implemented in concrete interfaces of supertype IErrorCheck. That way error checks can be discrete and added or removed from the class that requests the error checks.Each IErrorCheck implementation would be programmed against the supertype IErrorCheck (Strategy).But it would be nice not to recompile when checks are added or removed.Is there an accepted procedure for abstracting the error checks all the way out of the program, such as to read the checks from a file?

My problem is it�s woking ,yes if the programm ,,Cheat Engine" is running the process is getting killed.But if the program is not running my program crashes.

I'm BRAND NEW to programming, and I'm starting to learn VB. I need to write a program that views images on a website that are organized. I have 2 textboxes in which you enter variables which affect the URL. It doesn't load anything though when I enter values into the textboxes. Here is the

I would like to take blank secure stock paper and convert it in to a check.
I know you can get magnetic toner and print MICR.
The question is What is the actual font to use or should i get a package and send the data to it to print the check?
Has anybody done it successfully without having to resort to pre-printed checks.

I'm just messing around coding a ID Checker that checks registry value. if it does not equal to the string, then the program will close as so:

I want to quickly limit the time that someone can use my program and do it without licensing software for now. Can I use an If'Then statement to check to see if today's date is later that a date that Ihard type similar to this conceptually. I am using VB2008.

I currently have an HTML form that saves one input to a txt file that exists on my website.
I want to do this using visual basic(not vb script) in a codebehind page for and aspx form. everything i find on google tells me how to save the file on my computer or to a server on my system. This server exsists on a hosted website and I don't have access to the permissions on that host.
This works fine for the form post. how do i do it with vb

I want to create a program that checks the characters of the string "George123" . If a number is found in the string then a message box will pop up. Here is where the problem lies. I created a for loop that inspects each character of the string George123 and when it reaches the number 123 the message box pops up. The only problem with the message box is that it appears 3 times as there are three numbers in the string. So my question is how do i exit a for loop right after the first number is found in the string.

I am very very new to VB.NET and would like to ask a simple question. I want to create a vb.net program and allow visitors to a website to download this program. However, I prefer not to have visitors download a zip folder. I would like to have a program that just gives a prompt to save in a selected folder, once the saved file is selected it prompts the person to download, and then when finished prompts the person to run the program. The reason is twofold:
1. I don't like the extra step involved with unzipping the file. and 2. I don't like the visitors having to look for the "main" file program within the new downloaded folder. So is there any way to have just one file for others to download without having it in a zip folder?

I am trying to write a small application that simply monitors my web site watching for specific hyperlink text to appear. I have been searching around and trying different approaches for a few days and have to accept defeat on this.Basically I need to be able to type in part of a hyperlink or the actual text of the hyperlink into a textbox to be watched for. i have to write a program for my VB class that consists of a resistance checker program. I've searched like a madman to help me through this and I have found nothing >. The program consists of 2 combo boxes, the first one is the nominal resistance drop down list of the numbers :100, 150, 220, 330, 470, 680, 820 and 1000. The second list is of the tolerance numbers; +/- 0.4%, +/-0.6% and +/-0.8%. Now what i want to do is select a number from the first combo box and select the tolerance level of the second combo box and i input the resistor of said value into the text box. when i click the check resistor button it should display a message saying if the resistor is in or out of tolerance. For now I have the form all laid out and the values inputted into both combo boxes and i can go to run the program i am able to select said values. Now my problem is trying to get the right code so that i can check the resistors value.

Recently we decided to make a web based game that I would like to see on a web page. Prblem is I have no idea how I would get my website to see the program and run it. I'm fairly decent with Vb its self but ASP is completely new to so Im ultra newb. My understanding about using ASP is since its Microsoft based you can't use any tools like WAMP or PHP Admin or anythign I currently have to get ASP programs to run but I could be wrong. I barely know how to setup a webpage so I'm 100% newb on my venture into webpage building but I want to learn more about it.

My home page contains three Dropdownlist controls, the lists are populated from my database i created ie. (From three tables)- Courses, Grades and Schools.
I want a situation whereby a user clicks on any of the Courses, or the Grades, or any of the Schools from my dropdownlist controls, and selects the search button, the names of the students that took the course, their grades in that course, and their schools should appear in a table form. if its a Grade that is selected, the names of the students with the grade, their courses and their schools should also appear in a table form. And likewise the School.

Recently I've been working on a huge project, and I've wanted to make a demo version for it. So users don't have to download it without checking the features, etc. Is there anyway to upload it to my website? I have a good amount of website coding experience in HTML and PHP, but not to much with Java and JavaApplets, etc.
Is there anyway I can add my program to my website for people to use? I know it's possible, people have done it before.
