.NET Class Program Harvey Industries Stumped On Code?

I have to submit this assignment that I have mostly done. But the problem is that the program calculates the pay roll even if you dont select a martial status radio button. I need to make one of the radio buttons default upon the program being opening opened. Also Im getting a negative number for the fwt label result after calculating. Why could that be? Here is my code:

I'm working through the Pro ASP.NET MVC Framework book by Apress (which is great, btw) and it's in C# although we mostly work in VB so I'm "translating" the examples along the way. So far so good but I ran into something that has thrown me.Long story short we need to validate that the string the user gave us as an email address. This returns true in C#:
Console.WriteLine(System.Text.RegularExpressions.R egex.IsMatch("Me@me.com", ".+\@.+\..+"));
But this returns false in VB:Console.WriteLine(System.Text.RegularExpressions.R egex.IsMatch("Me@me.com", ".+\@.+\..+"))

I have a very simple class that is located within my App_Code folder in my VS2008 web application project. I am trying to instantiate an instance of this class from my code-behind file. Intellisense does not seem to be seeing my class and I am not sure why. I am using VB.NET which I am admittedly not that familiar with as compared to C#. Perhaps I am missing something. Base class has one field to hold numeric balance value. With 2 methods that accept arguments for adding and subtracting the new input calculating new balance. Sub class has four fields dates, transaction, memo and amount.I have a deposit form, and withdraw form. Each time one transaction is entered it creates an object with sub class fields, then adds to the account collection. My problem is not understanding how to call the deposit/withdraw method and pass the current transaction amount back to the base class to alculate the new balance. Does anyone have any links to information/tutorials on how to perform something like this? As you can see with my code I have tried various different approaches without any success.

I recently found this code (provided for third party use on another VB site), however,ll of my attempts to insert it into a class library have failed.I open a new class library and past the code in, and immediately get several errors pertaining to how certain objects can't be found. I find it it is crucial to use this code, unless someone can suggest to me another example of existing code that will do the same thing: make a restricted textbox who imputs can be restricted, that can handle pasting, shortcuts, text property setting, and script-entered text.

I've been working on a project the last couple of day with the help of a lot of you out there. I've more or less finished the design of the interfase, but there are stange this happening with the form. I can say much about what is wrong because I dont understand it, but I would like to. I have added the form Class code and the Designer Code, is that enough or is more required? Theres a msgbox that popup in the form Load event which I placed there to see what I could learn about the GraphicsBuffer.

In class i saved my program in with load of other test programs for the same assignment and got everything mixed up i finally figured out what was what and loaded the program in Visual Basic. Now my program doesn't recognize one of my forms when i try to access the design view of it. I hit run for the hell of it and the program runs with errors of course but the form1 "the missing one" shows up with all the buttons etc and i can use it.

i have to write a program for my VB class that consists of a resistance checker program. I've searched like a madman to help me through this and I have found nothing >. The program consists of 2 combo boxes, the first one is the nominal resistance drop down list of the numbers :100, 150, 220, 330, 470, 680, 820 and 1000. The second list is of the tolerance numbers; +/- 0.4%, +/-0.6% and +/-0.8%. Now what i want to do is select a number from the first combo box and select the tolerance level of the second combo box and i input the resistor of said value into the text box. when i click the check resistor button it should display a message saying if the resistor is in or out of tolerance. For now I have the form all laid out and the values inputted into both combo boxes and i can go to run the program i am able to select said values. Now my problem is trying to get the right code so that i can check the resistors value.

I'm wondering if it is possible to write the code for the button so that, when pressed by the user, it would add whatever text is in the text box to the list box and change the code of the form load to add that text to the pre-existing listbox.items.add's that are in the code of the form load.

I created a VB.NET Class, and created a strong key, and added it to the GAC using the GacUtil. That part has gone smoothly. The Assembly is installed in the GAC and seems to be installed/configured correctly.FYI, the assembly is a Class called Tester, that exposes one public static method called HelloWorld, which returns a string, "Hello World".The next step was to create a test web application (VB.NET and ASP.NET 2.0), using Visual Studio 2005, Windows XP SP3. I created the test web application and added the following to the web.config file's configuration section.

I then added some inline code to my aspx page as follows:

The page outputs "Hello World" and all seems goodHowever, I don't know how to use this code in the code-behind page.I try to import the assembly, just like "imports system" and it doesn't appear in the IntelliSense.Also, when I try to add the assembly as a reference to the project, the assembly is not found in the list of installed assemblies. I believe this is because the list is pulled from the registry, not from a dynamic list of installed assemblies.My goal is to add the assembly via the web.config file, not by adding it as a project reference, and to use the assembly in the code-behind page.

I am new to vb.net and would like to be able to convert the following code to it's own function - either inside the current module or better yet in a seperate class.This code currently runs in the KEYPRESS event and ensures only numbers, decimal point, 2 decimals etc. are entered and not letters. To me the answer to this question will be stupidly simple, but I cannot find it. I want to generate child forms to do simple tasks from my main form. I want to be able to create and destroy these child forms as I use the main form. I decided to create a class of the child form, with its own constructors and destructor. When I tried to do this using the Class Library Module, I could not access the Windows.Forms class to create a form.

I have an ASP.NET website written in VB.NET and trying to add MVC to it.
I managed to add controllers (to CS_Code folder) and make them running. However, I have to use some code from aspnet pages.
When I try to call method from page I ma having compile time error
public CustomerFrontend.DefaultForm DefaultForm { get; set; }
Error:
The type or namespace name 'DefaultForm' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
Page directive definition which proves than namespace is correct:
