View 1 RepliesI have a simple questionnaire system which shows a random number of questions to the user out of a certain total in my database.I have 2 separate tables: Questions and Alternatives (which are the options to answer) related by QuestionID field in both tables. I rendered such questionnaire using Nested Repeaters (parentRepeater for questions and childRepeater for the options) and it shows correctly on the page.Each option is a radio button which I had to use it as a HTML instead of the Standard Server Control <asp:RadioButton> because of the Dynamic ID problem inside a repeater.[code]What I don't know is how do I get all the questions answered by the user given that I don't know the QuestionIDs and the Alternative IDs since it's randomly generated and using a HTML input tags?

I have edited the column headers and set the column names to the same values as my table names yet the data is not showing in form load I have set datagridview.AutoGenerateColumns = False I know the data is there if I delete datagridview.AutoGenerateColumns = False then the data is shown with the default headings?
How can I sort label names on buttons within a form. Automatically sort the names and put into the correct place within the form. A-Z order sort can be left to right. Want some sensibility to the form not all mixed up.

I wish to superscript the Text. i.e., to denote Sq.mm - as mm with power 2. But if we type or cut & paste from Ms Word, the typed name is changing as mm2. The power i.e. 2 can not to typed with superscript text.

I am creating an interface with several textboxes and HTML component and several buttons.But when I drag any textbox onto the existing form they line up vertically one under the another or they attach directly together on the same row. I want to be able to drag and drop and place these as well as the HTML component wherever I need on the form. In VB6 I simply selected what I needed and placed it with ease. Can someone tell me what I need to do gain this simple freedom in vb.net
View 3 RepliesI have some experience of using paypal with an asp.net website, however this issue has me really stumped.Root of the problem: You cant embed the html form for the paypal button inside your page form.
Original solution: Originally my website was using multiple aspx pages so I could simply arrange my form tags so that they weren't embedded inside one another. My website now uses a master aspx page which draws in different ascx controls. This means that I do not have the option of arranging the form tags around the page so need a work around.
NB. I have looked all over the place for simple solutions but it is a jungle out there, paypal is a nightmare. I did find something on ghost form which is all in c#.

Basically I have a form with Five textboxes and what I want to do is to click a 'Submit' button and copy not only the text from all 5 textboxes but the name of the textbox or a label.
Sample:
Names / TextBoxes
Box1: Text1
Box2: Text2

And when you click submit you would get the text in that format when you paste it in a separate textbox.Is it possible and how would I go about doing that? I know I can copy multiple textboxes but I want to retain the label or title along with the filled in text.

View 2 RepliesI would like to add the names of people in a SQL Database to a Multiline textbox if two values in their row do not equal 6. The first name and last name, as well as graduating year need to be added to the textbox, and then a new line needs to be created. The two values are contained in two separate columns in the DB. I'd like to try and stay away from using SQL Queries to accomplish this, so is there any way I can call these values using VB? Keep in mind the number of people that have values under 6 may vary from time to time. The purpose of this will be so that someone can print out a list of members who don't have the required amount of points at any given time.

but I'm finding it impossible to work with the html controls, i.e get their .text value from codebehind, or adding events! better way to replace the html with suitable asp.net web controls or from the codebehind and output it.
I'm trying to create an export Excel/CSV function that will iterate through a custom object and first output the property names and then output the values. I want to use reflection only where necessary so I'm attempting to save the property names when I output the headers and then reuse them to print the values. Is this possible? I'm a little weary of using reflection in a loop but is there a better way?

The problem with code is that it can't access any variables or there values, so I have decided to get the variable names, there values types and there types dynamically and recreate them in the class that is being created dynamically. Any way to get the variable names there types and values in the current class or method, so that I can recreate them, and execute the user passed code, the user knows what variables are in the current class or method and there datatypes but he don't know there values as they may have changed, so he can't initialize them. Is there a way to do this, this code will be called in an asp.net page on page_load event, the code passed by the user is stored in the variable vbCode that is passed as a parameter.
I'm new to visual basic & have learned many new things in such a short period of time from being on the MSDN forums. I have learned particularly in the subject of automating web browsing control using the getattributes etc., but I have tried everything that I have seen in the forums to auto click the "Settings" link in a created gmail account and then have the browser automate the "Forwarding" to another gmail address. My problem is, i want to also get div id="2" value at the same time and add it to my listbox, since the Persons ID is in div 1 and the Name of the person is in Div2.
I was thinking i could do another for each loop, and just add the username behind the id i pull.
Question is, how do i add to a value or position in a listbox, after its been filled?
