how to add items to right click. So if i right click on a file in explorer it will come up like a contex menu that have like properties and that stuff. View 1 RepliesI have a ContextMenuStrip click event. I was hoping to use this whenever a user clicked onto the ContextMenuStrip or one of its subitems. I have noticed that it does not fire when the user clicks on the sub items. Is there another click event that includes both the main menu And its sub items. Note that I also have added individual events to the individual menu items and sub items to capture specific code for these items. As such, I already know that I can use these events and call my desired code snippet in each of these if I have to. However I was wondering if there was another general click event that captures all the items (main + sub).

What I want to do is write a number of subs, so that each time a menu item is clicked a sub is called. I'm a little confused there dosn't seem to be a click event for individual menu item ( vistamenuitem ) . I know that there is a an event that is called for the overall menu, but this doesn't help because I want to execute a different subs depending on which menu item is clicked.

I have to make a listbox with a few(8) names in it & double clicking on a name in the listbox will removed the name from it. I have already add the names into the form using the listbox.items.add method & would display the names in it. Then I enter the coding for 8 names in double_click procedure (listbox) using the "listbox.items.remove" method. However, when I try double clicking on a name in the listbox, it would remove all the names instead.

Clicking on an entry in the datagrid (I want to make this double-click, but haven't bothered to try yet) highlights the row, and loads the values to a new form, in read-only text boxes. Clicking Edit changes the read-only value of these text boxes and allows you to edit (obviously) the contents. I have another button, Save which I want to click to commit the changes to the loaded items in the datagrid.

For testing purposes, we call them Item1, Item2, Item3, and Item4.I've set up a context menu strip like this, and I am using it for about 20 different controls. I want these four items to do different things based on what control the user right clicks. The only way I could think of doing this, was to make 20 context menu strips and create a click event for each item.
