Add A New DataTable Column With Type "Integer"?

I have a dataview, and I am trying to "clone" its structure only in part, by creating a new table via code. I cut out most of the columns, so this is easier to read. My question is - Why does this always seem to add things a a string?
Later in my code, I try to sort based on "View_Order", but it acts like a string. The values sort as 1,2,20,21,22,3,4, NOT 1,2,3,4,20,21,22 like it should.
Using Cint() while moving the values from table to table didn't work for me... and the boolean becomes text as well. Is the problem in this code, or would it be elsewhere?

I declare my dates as the following in my code:
Dim DeliveryDate as Date
But i am now trying to declare time however i keep getting an error because i cannot get the type correct. I tried the following but get the following error: "Conversion from type 'Timespan' to type 'integer' is not valid".

In my database the DeliveryTime type is set to Time(7) so i would assume there should be 'Time' which i could use to declare it, but there isnt. What is the correct type i should be using?

I'm creating a login system with ASP.NET and VB.NET, and I have the webpage read a MySQL database for a table with the usernames and passwords. In the 1st column is an auto-incrementing id number, 2nd is their username, and 3rd is the password. I am using a code to generate an id for a table.But it is giving 'Conversion from type dbnull to type integer is not valid' exception.Now I know that this is due to the table being an empty set.But it works properly if there is already a row in the table. I am using code similar to this to populate a combobox with items from a database. The display works fine, but when I try to get the combobox.SelectedValue it is returning a DataRowView, where I need an integer. Obviously this is becuase I haven't casted the value to an integer, but the function, CInt(cboPosition.SelectedValue) is throwing an InvalidCastException. Is there any way that I can get the ValueMember's type to be an Integer?

I have a data table, i want to add a new column on that table, the data in that new column will depend in the data from another column. Now i can think of two ways to accomplish this, first is loop through the whole table and do the statements to get my new columns appropriate data. the second approach would be to give the new column an expression, then convert the table to xml (to remove the expression) then convert the xml string back to datatable.
Now, is there any other way around this? what could be the most optimized way in solving this task?

This is my programs complete code, the only problem is i want to fix the amount of decimal places that show up in my gridview. The problem is if i do this on the asp side the location of the column gets thrown off and the column is duplicated. I figured if i just remade the table on the asp side it would work only problem is if i remove the sql for that particular column the asp side column cannot get data.

I have an int datatype in my SQL database table (NULLS allowed).
Three values of this int datatype are significant: NULL, 0 and > 0.
I create a variable with:
Dim IntType as Integer = Nothing
And then, using SQL Linq, transfer the value from the int datatype in the table into the variable.
If the int datatype is NULL, I leave IntType = Nothing.
Now, when I test the value of IntType:
If IntType Is Nothing Then
gives an error because cannot use Is with an integer variable.
So I tried:
If IsDbNull(IntType) Then
is never true, even when IntType is set to nothing.
In fact, if IntType is set to Nothing, whilst debugging, IntType = 0 !!!

Using late binding i have set the numericupdown maximum to the column's count of the excel worksheet. Now the Min and Max of NumUpDn is 1 and 16384.
Now i want to change the numeric value to column name i.e
if the user selects 1 then "A" , if 26 then "Z" ,if 27 then "AA"...200=>GR
