Auto-refresh Windows Form - Sub Form With A Datagridview ?

I am working on VB.Net. I have a sub form with a datagridview, that is being loaded with the criteria taken from another form. Hence this form is called with parameters.
Here is the code that calls the sub form.

where ds is the dataset to fill the datagridview and rb is the string from a radio button on this form.

Now, I need to refresh this sub form every -- minutes, depending on how the user wants it to be. For this I have given a NumericUpDown control to select the mins. All this works fine. But how do I refresh the dataset and the datagridview?

Lets say i label "label1" , and 2 buttons named "button1" and "btnRefresh " [code]So , when user press the button 1 , the text will change. But what should i put inside btnRefresh to reload the forms ? and display the default label.text = "Form Load" ???

i am currently making a project which is to make a cinema screen booking system. My main problem is that although i have most of what is working i need to find a formula to give the full result (overall price) in a label. My other problem is the fact that when i interact with my form certain things dont auto refresh when i change certain values e.g i change number of seats but it doesn't auto refresh the price or anything OR i click one discount then another but nothing changes and it keeps the old value.
Okay in my menu i have a CombBox (ComboBoxScreen) for choosing the film and there are 3 films to choose from in the drop menu each with their own price. I also have a Textbox (NumberSeats) for inputting a number of seats you want to book for chosen film. And lastly there are 3 radio buttons each with different discounts. e.g No discount, 10% off and 25% off. A formula to work out the overall price uses all three functions/tools above. [Code]

I have a Main form (a window form) in VB.NET which has a Combo Box to display a list of countries. A sub form activated from a "Button" on the Main form allows users to add Countries to their list. But After Adding a new entry the Combo Box on the Main form does not show the update (while it is still open). I have to exit the main form and relaunch it to see the update.
The populate function in shown below. I call this method after adding new countries but still; not good. I have used Invalidate function of combo box but of no use as well.

I have a project with a form in which I have a tabcontrol with several tab pages. In each tabpage I have a datagridview and some textboxes and some comboboxes. I managed to refresh one datagridview but it stopped working. - I don't know why. Here's what I did:

And I called this fnction before closing the connection for each button that adds or deletes or updates. Before calling it I cleared the dataset.

How could I prevent a Windows Form from automatically docking when the form gets dragged to the left or right side of the screen in Windows 7? This is a neat feature in W7, however, for my form it does not make sense (a data input form). Sometimes I drag the form to the right to read some information on a website and input them, yet, under W7 this form docks onto the right half of the screen when I do so.

I have a windows form with a DataGridView control.I bound it into an attached DB file (.mdf).I perform insertion by generating a dynamic Insert statement. I then pump this sql statement into a SqlCommand object and perform ExecuteNonQuery() method. All of these is performed by handling a Button click event. The button and the gridview is located on the same form.

After the code execution, the DataGridView is not updating (remains intact). I have to exit the form and reload it to have the updated gridview.For certain reasons, I can't use DataTable object.But I would like to have this gridview updated everytime I run the insertion.

I set the anchors of the datagridview in order to automatically re size when the user maximises the windowsform. After setting this, Datagridview is resizing when user maximises, but the Column width is NOT. It is still showing same as before.

I have a parent form that has a combobox. Whn the form loads I get the data from the db and bind to the combobox. that works fine and here is the code I use in form load to cause this to happen: [code] Now if there is not an Account Type, I have a button that will pull up a small form to allow the addition of an account type. The popup form adds the data back to the database just fine, but I am now trying to get the combobox to refresh its data. So I call a public Sub that is located in the parent form to from the popup form to accomplish this task and I have walked the code and the sub is called and appears to work correctly, but the new data never appears in the combobox. Here is my public sub that i call to try and refresh the combobox on the parent form. [code] But when I go back to the parent form, the combobox is not updated with the new account. How can i get the combobox to refresh from the database with the new data?

I have a datagridview in my win form It has a calander cell which populate on first cell click means any row cell (0) . dgv has allowusertoaddrow property true .I used the code [URL]..now the problem is when I change the value of calander cell . and leave the cell instead of adding a single blank row it add three rows. and first two rows have the values for the autoincrement column and last row is full blank.

I have a bound DGV that took a bit of work to get its columns set up. I'd like to show a 1-row version of this identical DGV on a second windows form. Is there a way to programatically place a copy on the second form. I would adjust the height and position of the 1-row version, and create a new binding source on the second form so that I could filter the data.

I did a search in google and got some codes too but I am not able to implement in my code as the way I am binding data to gridview is different than the one shown by other codes (that i got from google). i was thinking. is it possible to bring the rows that we click at datagridview and bring it into another form. which mean i click on a data that are on the datagridview, then it will pop up a form, inside the form, there will be have the data we have click on the datagridview, and we can edit and save at that form. Can it be done? if yes, how do i gonna bring it over? i only manage to make a windows pop out only. but cant bring the data over.

I am trying to bind a DataGridView control on my windows form. However, it doesn't appear to be working. Am I missing a step somewhere? I cannot get the objects in my collection to display in the DatagridView.

I have a Windows application form. Directly on the form I have a lable ("Customer Names"), a ComboBox (pulling actually names from a database) , and a Buton to add a customer to the database if i choose. Additionally I have ControlTab(3 tabs) that has "fields" and its own Buttons to insert data into a different table. The first 2 tabs have textBoxes, which are completely functional, but the 3rd tab has a "DataGridView"

I have a Windows form which contains a DataGridView within a GroupBox which is within a TabPage which is within a TabControl.The scrollbars property is set to 'Both' so that the user can scroll down to see all available rows in the grid.
I want the Windows Form to initialize to allow the user to see 7 rows but to expanded vertically to the size of 32 rows which is the maximum possible in this application.
Is there a way to size the form dynamically so the Form's Height property can be changed as the DataGridView's rowcount increases?
