I am making use of an ASP.NET Masterpage. I have 3 tables as Columns in my Masterpage. The first table load then the second table that contains my "ContentPlaceHolder" and then table 3. How or what must I do to load table 1 and then table 3 and then lastly the table 2 that contains the "ContentPlaceHolder"?

The TreeView populates and every folder is visible, however the folder names consist of:Place #. Name the problem I am having is that the number range is 1 - 16 and the order in which the folders are being displayed is 1, 10, 11, ..., 15, 16, 2, 3, ..., 8, 9 I am looking for the folders to be listed in true numerical order e.g. 1, 2, 3, ..., 14, 15, 16
I have an XML file that is being updated via ASP.NET. The user should be able to add new nodes to the XML file AT ANY LOCATION in the node tree.
The XML file is read into a DataSet using DataSet.ReadXml(filename).
A new row is added to the appropriate DataTable, using InsertAt(row, index).
I have confirmed using a DataGrid, and using a loop (For Each dRow in Table, Response.Write..) that the new Row was inserted into the table at the correct spot (in my example code, the 3rd position).
However, The WriteXml() method is writing the node to the END of the XML tree! I can't get it to see the tree with the node in the correct location.

Ok here goes my stab in the dark again: I would like to be able to insert a number in to a list box in the correct order, at the moment the number gets put at the end, but the list box starts negative and then gets larger and the values that will be added are within the range already there, My guess would be some sort of sort function?

I'm trying to set the tab order on my form and no matter what I do, it doesn't relearn the new tab position after I change the index. It almost seems like the form is locked.

That is teh only thing the program gets right. The employee button won't function for some odd reason. What am I doing wrong. i have an admin master page where i want to place a label which i can control with two functions (setErrorMessage and setSuccessMessage) both functions assign strings to label's text property and change CssClass property according to function type.
I want to use these functions from nested pages while the control remains centralized on master page so i can return to form in case of error so user could edit wrong input.
I am currently using nested masterpages in my latest asp.net 4.0 project and i want to change the look and feel dynamically, so the homepage may just be 1 column wide, about us page may be 2 columns etc. I am dynamically loading the masterpage dependant on the record selected in the DB (1column.master, 2column.master) on the pre_init event of a static page (Load.aspx) which work succesfully however i need to be able to dynamically add controls to the page in order to get the desired layout. Is this possible, is there a better way of achieveing this?
View 1 RepliesIn an attempt to learn VB I'm trying to build a database project for a friend's business. This db will be used to track customer information, predominantly for targeted marketing purposes. So far, the development has been slow (I'm still trying to adapt from VBA to VB), but its all starting to make sense now. I'm using two different forms for adding new customers and reviewing the information of existing customers, mainly because the database will grow by about 2,500 customers per year and we wanted to be able to search the records without returning every record when the forms load. Most of this works so far, but I'm having trouble with two issues.
When I open the new customer entry form, I want the form to automatically begin entering data without clicking the "Add New" button. The second problem involves the row ID from the database. It keep showing up as "-1", "-2" etc. The row ID records properly in the table, so no big deal. I have read that this problem is a bug in VB and that its nothing to worry about. However, down the road I will need to access the correct row ID from this same form in order to print out a report for the customer (as needed).

I've created a custom control in VB.NET on .Net 3.5, in VS2008, which contains a load of custom properties, including RSS feed address, proxy address and proxy port.This control is an RSS ticker, which works really nicely, but doesn't initially run at all, and from stepping through my code, this is because none of my properties are being passed data from the containing form, until after the control has been initialised, and the code behind the control has run. View 2 RepliesMy main form has two panels, left docked and right docked. The right side panel has two child panels with top dock and bottom dock settings. The usercontrol is added to the right side top panel. My usercontrol has a panel and a label. The panel is anchored on all 4 sides, the label is anchored on all except the bottom. At runtime I create this usercontrol and set it to dockstyle=fill and then I add it to my top right panel.
With everything set to "fill" I expect that when I add my usercontrol to the panel it will take on the appropriate width and height and pass that info to the child controls (labels) inside of my usercontrol. My problem is that this stretching of the size does not happen when I create my objects during the Load event on my usercontrol. Even though initializecomponent has ran for the usercontrol the panel inside of it (4 corners anchored) has not taken the x/y values of the available space. As a result my usercontrol shows up about 50% of the width I want.

For some unkown reason, my database tables will not drag and load onto a vb form, just get a circle with a slash in the middle. Trying to tanslate the table into textbox's.

I've found how to retreive multiple tables like,

I have created a basic query generator which allows a user to select the Select, WHERE and criteria attributes using a number of checkboxes.However i have got stuck. In the results form i have the following code

The program keeps on crashing if the user does not select the corresponding amount of display records from above for the amount of attributes they want for the SELECT part of the query in the intreface in form 1.
How would i go about making something where the number of SELECT attributes selected which are listed in a string create the correct number of textbox fields in the results form (form2)
I am using VS2008 and SQLite. I have created a database and several tables and am attempting to populate the tables with data from arrays.
The following code (example) works fine but stops after it inserts 30 to 50 records. I am running the VB code in debug mode and when it stops, I press pause to see where it is. It stops on "SQLcommand.ExecuteNonQuery()" and when I press continue (F5) it will insert another 30 to 50 records.
I do not get an error message. Is this a timeout issue? How do I keep the loop running to the end of the array?
