I am making a media player and I have a button where I want the text to change depending whether the media player is playing or paused. So far I have this:
If (AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.playState = WMPLib.WMPPlayState.wmppsPlaying) Then Then Button3.Text = "Pause" ElseIf (AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.playState = WMPLib.WMPPlayState.wmppsPaused) Then Button3.Text = "Play" End If
The problem is, is that i get an error under WMPLib.WMPPlayState on both lines. The error says 'WMPPlayState' is ambiguous in the namespace 'WMPLib'..
I've been wondering how one could create a button which display "play" when it's not pressed. And then shows "pause" once it's pressed. And visa versa when it's pressed again.I had a similar problem when trying to create an expand panel button, but that was easy because I could just set a variable to true or false if PanelCollapsed was true. But in this case I couldn't find any property in a button that I could query.
If isPlay = True Then If isPaused = False Then btnPlay.Image = Image.FromFile("iconPause.png")[code].....
I'm playing videos in a form with an embedded media player, I want to play one, and later another one, how I can programm a pause for the first video to play, and later to play a second one. system.thread seems is not the solution for me.
Ive come to do a question about windows media player look Im trying to make a program which if you make a certain input which he is going to request to you then I want to play that video but I have no idea how to use windows media player controls to manipulate that video. [URL]..
Thus allowing other functions to be carried out.I can stop my audio with;
My.Computer.Audio.Stop()
But i would like to be able to pause and restart the audio?There are timers and getkeystates envolved with this form. The timers I can pause and restart, the getkeystates are a function called in conjunction with the timers as a case statement, (all this is working).how to pause and restart the audio, bearing in mind the loaction and the other features of the form? (I only wish i was a clever as you guys/girls out there to return the help rather than leaching your knowledge continously)
I am having a problem and that is I have buttons to read text to speech like play pause and stop I have created 4 buttons Play,Pause,Stop,Resume but now I dont want the Resume button, instead when I click on the pause button it should pause the speech and later when I click the same button again I need the speech to be resumed this is what I wrote?

I am actually designing a simple media player. Here are all the buttons I have 1)play 2)pause 3)stop 4)next track 5)previous track 6)fast forward 7)fast rewind 8)repeat playlist
Public Class Form1 Dim myarray(100) As String Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load WMP.uiMode = "NONE" [Code] .....

I'm working on a project. I've gotten all the kinks out of my Client/Server tcp chat. But I need to find a way around this problem.
In my chat room, you can have other users view your desktop remotely. But I'm having a problem with this.Does anyone know how I would get a screenshot or possibly video of the desktop and write it to my stream? I can convert it to a string already. and my old method used screenshots written to the disk. I would like to avoid touching the hard drive if possible, so that means extracting the screenshot/video from memory.
1) Why the pause button and also the pause command does not exist in VB 2010 Express?
2) I have some solutions under 2010. In 2 or 3, while debugging, I can change instructions without restarting the application. In others, I cannot change anything (Is like readonly), Looking in 'My Applications', Tab 'Debug', Option 'Configuration' I can choose several Options. In the applications I can debug, the default is 'Active (Debug)'; in the others is 'Active (Release)'. If I change the options, the word 'Active' remains attached to the original option.
How can i play an audio that possibly mp3 or wav without let the user to select the file by using the open dialog box. i want the audio to play when the user press a key. for example user press key 1 then audio1.mp3 will be play.
I have an app that I'm debugging and I need to pause it by clicking on a "pause" button in the development environment. I don't want to stop it programmatically, just manually to check what it is doing. I know this should be simple but I can't find a pause button anywhere on the toolbar.
I'm trying to play music from a memorystream in a WMP control.I can succesfully stream music with MediaPlayer, but this is limited to .wav and can't pause and so.
Dim mPlayer As New MediaPlayer(entryBytes.ToArray()) 'begin playing the file mPlayer.Play()
Is it possible to load a array of bytes or a memorystream into the WMP control?
I want to capture the image of my webbrowser, or actually just a part of it.I already achieved it, but it just takes a screenshot of it instead of capturing the bitmap itself. So when i use this technique and you drag another window above it, the window is also captured. (this is what I don't want.)
My code:
' 1. Get the WebBrowsers bitmap.
Dim bmp As New Bitmap(WebBrowser1.Width, WebBrowser1.Height) Dim BMPEndResult As Bitmap Dim graph As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(bmp)
[code]....
So I need to get the image of the webbrowser:
- without the scrollbars if possible
- Even if the window is minimized or in the task bar
- Full webbrowser
- and also if possible just a part of it, where I can specify the top, left, width and height
In my app I have a pause and continue button. I capture the last active control when pause is clicked, change the Backcolor to let the user know where they were, from blue to red and leave the cursor there. What I would like to do without disabling and enabling all the controls on the form is to keep the cursor in the LastActiveControl no matter what until the continue button is clicked. In other words, tab, enter key, mouse click or nothing will make the cursor move until continue is clicked. Sound possible?
I have a form with lot of coding and enabling/disabling control depends on different vales and condition distributed in many places, some as sub and sum as click event. My problem is I have form, using typed dataset and not using the wizard navigator, I placed buttons. When I run the form, all the control should be disabled (that is ok), when I press (navigation next button) which has the following code inside
btn_pressed = "nav" bs_ticket.MoveNext
The above code, should get the next record(that is ok) plus enabling 5 controls (not ok). Where is the code that is enabling those controls. Is there is a way to capture the enabling of the control by debug or runtime?
How can i play an audio that possibly mp3 or wav without let the user to select the file by using the open dialog box. i want the audio to play when the user press a key. for example user press key 1 then audio1.mp3 will be play. Please suggest me something and provide the simple code if possible.
I have a rich text box control in my form. Much like Concise Oxford Dictionary, when user clicks on any word, I need to capture it and process it. The click event don't help and I can't seem to figure it out.
Is it possible to capture a mouse click anywhere on a form (both on the form itself and on any control) without putting code in each control? I want to reset a timer/timeout when the user hits a key (which I have working no problem w/ a combo of
I am trying to update some local access databases from a web database. When I am accessing the web page, I want the user to select a folder on the local hard drive where the DB's reside that will be updated by the program. I actually have been using the File Upload control to do this as it has allowed me to check the file extensions on the local DB's their file size and other misc. items. [code]...
I decided to play around with NickThissen's Expandable GroupBox control.Expandable GroupBox//When I add a control to my form and debug or build the project, the Text of the GroupBox changes to the default. The Name and anything I put inside of the GroupBox stays the same, however.I also noticed that the control resizes to it's default size when I build and/or debug.
I have several UserControls in an ASP:Repeater. They are 'Add to basket' User Controls with a text input for quantity and a button to add the item to the basket.
My problem is the value is being reset to 1 whenever I enter a value into the quantity text box. I think this is happening because the containing page reinitialised the repeater (which holds the UserControls) and the quantity is one again before the UserControl's click event is fired.
how to capture the value in the textbox before the Postback occurs, I am happy to stick this data in a session for now.
I am thinking I need something along the lines of PreLoad? But that didn't work for me
I have a single series bar chart created programmatically in codebehind which I would like to display the Y point value (somewhere above the bar, or maybe as a tooltip) when the user hovers their mouse over a bar.
Is there a native onmouseover event for the bars of the chart, or is it something that should be added through series.MapAreaAttributes?
I've found the points.tooltip attribute which I can add at the same time I add the point which will do what I want it to do, but it would still be nice to know if you can capture events for the bars, just for future reference.
I would like to find out if it is possible to read or capture the name of control the mouse is hovering over on any window. I have tried to research it and maybe using win32 or looking for accessibility info I'd like to be able to have similar functionality in my app as the inspect32 application that Microsoft has at sysinternals that can do this, I want to know if a user hovers over a control (in any window or part of the Windows O.S.) for a while, if longer than a certain time then capture that..
