View 3 RepliesDoes Anyone know How to read multi-line strings? I am using XmlWriter to write a Multi-Line Textbox to an Xml Document. The Trouble Is I can't figure out how to get the reader to read that multi-line element. I know the writer is writing it in multi-line, but the read just squashes the lines together. Does anyone know how to read that multi-line element properly?

I need to take 6 altitudes, and arrange them. I have them in panels and I have 6 empty panels as place holders for .location value however I need to know how to look at 6 values and say arrange these values accordingly highest number this place lowest number this place etc.

I have a form that has a checkbox value for field 4. I'm making an email sending program and still I don't know how to check if the mail was really sent or not, because sometimes the program will have no error messages but the mail was not actually sent. Is there any other way on how to deal with this except for making use of try catch?Here is my code:

If the first line contains 4 or more numbers, it will use it. After each loop it will delete line 1. So it repeats for the next line. When my code reaches the 3rd line, and it doesnt find 4 or more numbers it needs to delete the line.

I am trying to make the program close if the -1 string is sent with the program. See my installer allows for me to run certain programs before it actually installs, but it doesn't shut down copies of the program itself. So I have a next startup instance set to shut the program down if the -1 is received. But if the program is not running it starts up instead. This is not desired. form1.close doesn't work. e.cancel = true doesn't work, etc etc. What can I do to make the program not start during this instance.
I have a List(Of String) which corresponds to "types" on our database table. We are using the DB2 ADO.NET provider and my final query needs to look something like this: select * from table where type in (@type1, @type2, @type3, @type4).
In the past, I've built the list of query parameters / host variables using a ForEach loop, but I would really like to figure out a way to build them in one line. Of course, I can join all of the strings, but adding the "@" and the incrementing digit is giving me headaches. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
