I am having connection issue while connecting to using below string

Getting error like database not found. But What i found was connection to mainframes it self was not happenning. Do i need to provide any other information or what i am missing here..

I am getting error and showing connection time out in details but exception what i am catching is database name not found

I have tried to add a reference to System.Data.OleDb but it doesn't appear in the add reference box. System.Data.OleDb is checked in the Imported namespaces window. I have tried changing the .NET Framework but, no help.

When I attempt to just access the server without credentials and just do the Windows version and use the syntax "\server_nameAUTO:RPTS.", where 'AUTO:RPTS.' is the mainframe directory name I get the following error: "The given path's format is not supported."
When I just use '\server_name' I get: "The UNC path should be of the form \servershare."
Just wondering if i might hit a snag in my program. Ive got 10+ users using the same files, via a Oledb to put info into an excel spreadsheet. If 2 or more people save there file at the same time will the program go into read only on one person. Normally one 3 will use the file at one time. I know Sql itself would be better to use. best way i can describe it, normally using excel if you manage to open the same file twice one opens as normal but the other opens as a Read only file, will the same thing happen if im using Oledb connections?

I'm currently working on a VB. Net web service calling another web service running in the mainframe. I was provided with the WSDL file and I generated a proxy class using wsdl.exe. Upon attempting to invoke the method of the mainframe web service using the proxy class, I encountered an exception saying "Conversion from SOAP failed" coming from a line of code in the generated proxy class.
We have a VB.Net application which works fine in our tests in different Windows XP SP3 machines. However there is one machine in which is displaying this error:
Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts
Using the mysql command, we can successfully connect to the database. We already checked for any other application or firewall that could be blocking the connection but it seems fine. We also reinstalled the system (no errors during the installation) but the MySQL error message doesn't change.
The system settings are exactly the same as in the other computers. We are using "localhost" as server in the connection string. The "hosts" file has its default values (nothing strange in there).
I'm working on an application where I'm using an webcam image. I have code that works when using the built in iSight (It's an Apple running boot camp windows 7) camera. However after installing a second USB powered Microsoft Life Cam I am unable to connect to this second camera. When runnign this code I only ever get one input device:

I am trying to connect to my remote MySql Database within Visual Studio using the compact framework.
I can successfully add a data source and preview the data within the IDE so assume that the connection is ok regarding Connection strings and remote access.
However, when I attempt to access the data using any run time control I get the following error when the table is loaded using the .fill method.
MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException was unhandled ErrorCode=-2147467259 Message="Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts."

I created a database program when I used Windows XP and now I'm using Vista x64 When I try to run my program I get error message "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0-providers not registerd on your computer. I have looked for solutions everywhere but the only thing I found was for Visual Studio.
Ive got my code, it add the data but not how i want it, when i add row i wnat it to go to row 1,2,3 and so on but its adding the data to say cell 5000, 5001 and so on. any way to get it go in at number 1 and 2 and what not. Now.month shows as a number how can i get it to reference it as a name so 10=Oct. and can i use it without referencing it into a textbox.

"txtid" will be in "ClntId" from my tables.
I've been using Visual FoxPro for the past 10 years, and am trying to learn VB.NET, (using VS 2008). I am in the process of re-writing a small VFP app in VB.NET, and am using the VFP DBF tables, (via OleDb). It is a real struggle for me to comprehend all the levels to keep track of and was wondering in anyone knows of some sample code that would point me in the right direction. After I complete this small app re-write, I have others to do that all require the VFP DBF table updates.
