resultRGB= src * dst / 255
but it didn't mention about alpha, how does alpha affect the result?

View 1 RepliesI am trying to create a function that would take 2 images. 1 of the images is a grayscale image and the other is a normal image. What i want to do is apply any of the R or G or B of the grayscale image (in grayscale image r=g=b so it makes no difference) to the Alpha of the second image. i DID succeed on it. However the code is EXTREMELY slow. It takes 1 second to perform it. And i have to perform the function atleast 30 times a second (it will be outputting to a Decklink card). Here is the code:

I am using Cursor.Draw to draw the default cursor on an image however this does not draw the alpha levels - they just draw the alpha pixels with a black backing how can i draw a cursor to an image and KEEP THE ALPHA channel?

View 1 Replieshow to tell VB to take two images and blend them together. Similar to how Windows 7 does it's wallpaper fade when it switches wallpapers. For now I found the program Image Magick can do that with the composite command. I'm trying to do something like this:

View 6 RepliesThe coding below is to retrieve the Raw Image Data from the Database and then write as a JPG image file. The problem is the image file (image.jpg) is "nothing" after file created. I guess there is something wrong in the following coding.

No any runtime errors I can find, and I double check rawData (i.e. Buffer) contains data. But don't know why there is "nothing" inside the image (image.jpg).

How do you convert a System.Drawing.Bitmap image to any other type of image? I tried CType, which failed, since I do not know the type for .png or .jpg. I cannot find it anywhere on google either.What is the most efficient method to do this, which keeps the quality of the image as high as possible?

View 1 RepliesI have a jpeg file that is being held as a list(of Byte). Currently I have code that I can use to load and save the jpeg file as either a binary (.jpeg) or a csv of bytes (asadsda.csv). I would like to be able to take the list(of Byte) and convert it directly to a Picturebox without saving it to disk and then loading it to the picturebox. If you are curious, the reason I get the picture file as a list of bytes is because it gets transfered over serial via an industrial byte oriented protocol as just a bunch of bytes. I am using VB.net, but C# example is fine too.
