I am using the following code to create an array consisting of double values specified by start stop and step. The problem with that is that for some weird reason there is a calculation error that seems to originate from the for statement causing the values to drift after the 11th to 12th digit after the comma which is quite irritating for the purpose i am using it.
How can i programmatically create a treeview consisting of several nodes and each node has several children.I want to read the nodes and children from a table and fill them accordingly, so how can i do this?
I am a beginner developer with xml and .net. I have series of checkboxlists and I want to produce an xml file depending on the user select. I want xml file to be like this.
I need to set up a list consisting of arrays of two elements. Simple, right?
Like: (code snippet):
Dim strDataPoint(1) As String '2-element array Dim lBiasCurve As New List(Of strDataPoint) 'list of 2-element arrays Dim lPwrCurve As New List(Of strDataPoint) 'another list of 2-element arrays
But this gives me an error msg on 2nd and 3rd line: type strDataPoint is not defined....
I want to make an application that shows the calculation sequence consisting of 3 form.1 is an input form, form 2-step sequence of calculations can be saved as pdf,he calculation
I have a form consisting of datagridview and two buttons of update and load all.. I have used fillby method to obtain data from database. The query seems to be working fine, except that the data is not shown in the gridview. As in, for the qeury, if the returned rows are 2, it will show 3 rows in the gridview, but all empty.
I am trying to create a form which will be fed by an underlying database to create multiple form fields for each entry in an underlying database table. This is for a program to monitor patients under anesthesia, and prior to surgery, the doctor will choose which monitors they will be using. Then, on the actual monitor screen which will pop up every X minutes, there will be a text box and a check box for each chosen monitor. I am relatively new to VB, so I have tried to illustrate what I am needing but using the logic that I know from my previous life in PHP.
I am using DevExpress's layout control to place the form fields, so that is the code in the middle of the first loop (on_load), and I know that part works, I just need to know how to name the fields and then recover those fields and commit the values to the database. (the text boxes are added to the database, the check boxes are used to determine if an entry is made for that monitor- i.e. at the end of surgery if a monitor is turned off). I know that my syntax for naming the fields is no where close to correct, and it probably would not work in PHP, but I remember doing something like this in a PHP application I built long ago. [Code]
I'm trying to create a row of images associated with a string value. When the user MouseOver's the image, I need a label to update with the value of said string. The images are added at runtime. What control(s) would best suite this?
How do you create an array for images, specifically to develop a slot machine game so-to-speak. Because our class is using a really, really old version of Visual Basic (that is, VB 4.0...ick), I decided to move myself up in the ranks and play alongside and learn the newer software.I've mentioned arrays before if you recognize my screen name, but situations caused me to bump up again to 2010, so now I need some help reacquainting myself with the software.
im trying to create a context menu for images i created dynamically. My context menu doesnt show
Private Sub MyPicClicked(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) If e.Button = Windows.Forms.MouseButtons.Right Then
[Code]....
Ive create the pictures dynamically, ive added a handler for click event (shown above), i detect the right click ok and assign another handle for the click of the item.
I'm trying to accomplish is having a 20x20 pixel image show up multiple times as determined by the grid selected. To keep things simple, what I'm trying to do is create a 9x9 grid of a image onto a form. I'm assuming that a picture box is the way to go, but don't know how to make that happen or if it's even possible.
So it would go something like this:
2D array already assigned: Sub ShowGrid() For rw As Short = 0 To 8
[Code].....
But instead of using a text box with values, I want to show a grid of a small image file, like cup.png which is 20x20 pixels or whatever, so what would show up on the form in this case would be a 9x9 grid of the image file over and over to create a grid.
Then the next step I hope to accomplish is to have that 20x20 square picture hold the grid(x,y) value for a mouse click. So if the image at grid(3,5) is clicked, it will give me that value, 3-5.
There is an IP web camera that I wrote a .NET class for sometime ago. It's basically a Timer implementation that pings a snapshot CGI script from the camera every five seconds. The camera itself is very rudamentary; it does not have any sort of API for me to work with, the only thing I can do programmatically (remotely) is invoke this script. The script returns a 640x480 JPEG image. Simple.
Now what I need to be able to do is take a days worth of these images, and create a "time lapse" AVI video stream out of it that will eventually be embedded into a web page. How can I do this with VB.NET?
I want to be able to take snapshots of the desktop periodically(about 1 every 300 ms) then be able to view them live through a web browser.
Here is what I already have:
I already have a form which takes the snapshots, overwrites a file called 1.jpg with the image. I also already have an http server running which succesfully serves up html documents.[code]...
I want to create a form that shows different pictureboxes, showing different images, when the "Next" or "Previous" button is clicked.Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click 'button 1 is the "Next" button PictureBox2.Show()End Sub
Private Sub Button2_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click 'button 2 is the "Previous" button PictureBox1.Show() End Sub
Don't know how to copy images to resources file on VB and create background change button. I am trying to add my graphics folder to the resources folder in my project but I get some kind of error. That's the easy question. Now, I have a panel container in which I want to show an image that will be change about 5 times when I click on my background change button. What codes do I need to use for this?
The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons. The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It's looks to me as though the images are getting assigned to the same index in the array. [code]
What type of connector do i need to actually save the Map data like point of the images (x,y coordinate) into the database . and then retrieve it to show on the page in asp.net and how do i go about doing it.
The app i am working on is for creating theme for the iPod touch... It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. Then the "screen" is drawn to show the user. so, here is just the images to build the wallpaper, dock, and status bar...
I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?
I am developing a visual basic 2008 express edtion program of an organisation that should get images from the system and display on image/picture box. further the program should save the displayed image in access database so that it can be retrieved together when you want to search the information about that particular employee.
I need this for my program. There is "add images" button where you can load multiple images and those images should be show on listview after loading.I have been trying to make this but could not get it work.
