I'm trying to create a row of images associated with a string value. When the user MouseOver's the image, I need a label to update with the value of said string. The images are added at runtime. What control(s) would best suite this?

I have create a CMS to upload all image to a folder using ed all my images to a folder using,
file.SaveAs(Server.MapPath("../images/") + advertID.ToString + "_" + i.ToString + fileExt)
Now, all images are saved and i forgot it create thumbnails. :(
I need to read all images at once and create thumbnails,

How do you create an array for images, specifically to develop a slot machine game so-to-speak. Because our class is using a really, really old version of Visual Basic (that is, VB 4.0...ick), I decided to move myself up in the ranks and play alongside and learn the newer software.I've mentioned arrays before if you recognize my screen name, but situations caused me to bump up again to 2010, so now I need some help reacquainting myself with the software.

Ive create the pictures dynamically, ive added a handler for click event (shown above), i detect the right click ok and assign another handle for the click of the item.
I put in a picture box and then it starts with image1 and when the box is clicked the image changes to image2, I want to make it so that when the box is clicked again image2 changes back to image1. [url]...?[code]...
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to accomplish is having a 20x20 pixel image show up multiple times as determined by the grid selected. To keep things simple, what I'm trying to do is create a 9x9 grid of a image onto a form. I'm assuming that a picture box is the way to go, but don't know how to make that happen or if it's even possible.
So it would go something like this:
2D array already assigned:

But instead of using a text box with values, I want to show a grid of a small image file, like cup.png which is 20x20 pixels or whatever, so what would show up on the form in this case would be a 9x9 grid of the image file over and over to create a grid.
Then the next step I hope to accomplish is to have that 20x20 square picture hold the grid(x,y) value for a mouse click. So if the image at grid(3,5) is clicked, it will give me that value, 3-5.
How to create video from some image files? if can add some audio, it will be better.
View 2 RepliesThere is an IP web camera that I wrote a .NET class for sometime ago. It's basically a Timer implementation that pings a snapshot CGI script from the camera every five seconds. The camera itself is very rudamentary; it does not have any sort of API for me to work with, the only thing I can do programmatically (remotely) is invoke this script. The script returns a 640x480 JPEG image. Simple.
Now what I need to be able to do is take a days worth of these images, and create a "time lapse" AVI video stream out of it that will eventually be embedded into a web page. How can I do this with VB.NET?

The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It's looks to me as though the images are getting assigned to the same index in the array. [code]

It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?

View 1 RepliesI have placed several PictureBox Images of different colored dots(which represent lights) on an image of a Christmas Tree. I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. There has to be an easier way to do this. So far I have tried the following with two images of lights just to see if it would work and it does not work:
