View 1 RepliesI want to play the next song from my listbox when the current song is finished. This is what I've tried:
If AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.playState = WMPLib.WMPPlayState.wmppsMediaEnded Then
ListBox1.SelectedIndex += 1
AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.URL = ListBox1.SelectedItem
AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.Ctlcontrols.play()
End If
It changes the index of the listbox, but it doesn't play the new file. The file exist and there's no problem playing it the normal way.

If the path is local or a mapped drive then it's working fine but if I am having a network path like \netpathputfileshere" then it is not working. If I mapped "\netpathputfileshere" to some x: drive on local then it will work fine BUT I need not mapped this path. So is there any way to do this directly on network path. View 2 RepliesI have completed my VB project using vb 2008 express edition..I am not able to create a set up file for my project and I think it is because of the file path i have provided in my program
dbSource = "Data Source = C:Documents and SettingscfadminDesktopLead_managementLead_Management_ProjectLead_Management_ProjectLondon.mdb"
The above path is a fixed path which connects my program to the database. Now when I create a set up file and try to run on another machine it wont recognize this path . have placed the database in the same folder that of the program.
Im trying to write to a file I created and place "Unregistered" in it. Thought it would be a simple task but keep getting an error. Its happening when I try and open the file to write. This is the error: Access to the path 'G:\Projects\Project\pbss\bin\Debug\5\pbssv\Data.DB' is denied.
Ive tried adding the file attributes to read-write and still get the same. Most of the code ive looked at via a google search points to the same as ive got for the Added default value area. Im not sure if there is a conflict between the 2 different ways im accessing the file when creating and writing too? [Code]
You did it very good and i will ask you step by step to fulfil my knowledge and keeping it as the sample for the learners who love to know the Visual Basic language especially with the song program. Could you please add the cover picture to audio file path in Add A New Song Form as in the picture below.

I am trying to read and display a file using MapPath as follows :
Response.ContentType = "Application/pdf"
Dim FilePath As String = MapPath("../Document/123.pdf")
Response.WriteFile(FilePath)
Response.End()
This procedure will work fine and display in the browser. However, if I save the file to C:Document123.pdf, how can I access this file using relative path in MapPath function. Is there an option to access the file which is saved out of IIS server? I am using vb.net 2003.
I'm using acrobat that returns unix paths instead of windows path's. So im wondering if there is a way in vb.net to convert the path to windows path.
i tried using:
docs(i) = javaScriptObj.path().ToString.Replace("/", "").Substring(1)
position = docs(i).IndexOf("")
docs(i) = docs(i).Substring(0, position) + ":" + docs(i).Substring(position + 1)
this only works on local files, but fails when im starting to use network drives.
