I would like to create a sorted array of data. This is what I would like to have: A Textbox with numerical values, example: 72, 101, 108, 108, 111, 116, 104, 101, 114, 101, 046, 72, 111, 119, 97, 114, 101, 121, 111, 117, 100, 111, 105, 109, 103, and 163( these numbers will very and the amount of the numbers will very as-well). I would like to take these values and put them into an array.

I have a group of boxes witch will all hold data input by the user. I am using an arraylist to store these, or atleast I am hoping to. So, the problem I have is getting the data to actually save to the arraylist. It keeps giving the error saying that type string cannot be converted to array list.

The VB 2008 express edition has microsoft visual studio 2008 v. 9.0.30729.1 SP and .NET Framework version 3.5 SP1. Now I want to create x-Y (date-Y value) graphs using the crunched data stored in an array list simulating a data base access. I download and installed the "Microsoft Chart Control for .NET Framework " and try to learn to use it within the VB 2008 express edition using the tutorial. It seems that the chart control did not get installed?
1. Do I need at VB 2008 professional to allow using the chart control?
2. Why after installing chart control, there is no change on the items under the NET components within the Toolbox>ChooseItem>.
3. How do I get to use the chart control under VB 2008 express edition.
4. Any code available to generate versatile graphics without using the chart control? Because the chart control has tons of classes already it seems the best is to just use the existing and downloadable chart control?

I have a textbox1 on form1 with a click evet that says textbox1.text= form2.txt(1).text but it gives an error (txt is not a member of form2). I tried disabling option explicit, option strick and option infer. Still won't work. My code is to long for this place maybe a short version osf the code. Do I need to make a Public MyArray(15,15,15,15) as string, in the Module1 then copy txt(n).text to the array or is there a way to access txt(n).

When they select this, they then enter in a qtyTextBox the quantity they want, ie.e, 1, 2, 3, 5,... The Windows form (WForm.vb) contains two textboxes (TextBox1 and TextBox2).
In Module1.vb I have created an array reference to the textboxes thus:

Then, in WForm.vb I have tried to refer to the textboxes via the array:
eg.
TB(0).Text = "Change text to this"
I know that the array is referring to the textboxes, because when I hover the cursor over the line 'TB(0).Text = "Change text to this" ' in debug mode, I get the following:
(0)|{Text = "Change text to this"}
(1)|{Text = ""}
but for some reason, the text in TextBox1 on the form isn't actually being changed!
(There is obviously no problem with change the textbox's text at this point in the code, because I've tried substituting the array reference 'TB(0)' with a direct reference to the textbox 'TextBox1', and the problem disappears.

I'm having a problem at the moment developing my application. What i need to do is find out how many modems they are connected to my system and send data to each one in turn. I have the programme working for one modem at the moment.
So I can send data to a modem that i specify, for example a modem on COM port 1. I have functions already that will give me a list of COM ports that I need to open.My problem is that i want to dynamically create a new modem object along side existing modems and store them in a collection.
