Oct 5, 2010I keep track of a score system for all users in a sorted list;
dim Scores as new sortedlist(of string, integer)
I can easely increse points for a cirtain person by;
scores("peter").value += 1
Now I need to display a top x list of the users, if users have the same score, it should sort alphabetically on the name. Of course it's also possible that users have the same score.I've already tried to make a new sorted list with as key the score, and added to that score the username. Later when displaying the scores, I've replaced the username with nothing. The only problem in this solution is that the numbers are sorted on asci value which has this order:
0
1
10
2
3
4
Also, if you make a sorted list like this:
dim Scores as new sortedlist(of integer, string)
You can't have two people with the same score... So, there must be something possible with the iComparer to sort on integers right?

Jun 22, 2010The application I'm doing requires me to "enter the size of an array in a TEXTBOX, then click a button, a list of random number would show up, then re-arrange from Lowest to Highest".For ex, i enter "5" in the TextBox, then an array or list of 5 random number will show up vertically on the ListBox. I already got this part done. Now the thing is, I have to make a For...Next statement to rearrange them from Lowest to Highest.

Okay so I am making a program that: allows the user enter the number of customers served for each of 12 months into an array. The application should calculate and display the following statistics: total number of customers for the year, the average monthly number of customers, and the months with the highest and lowest numbers of customers. Use inputBox to get user input. Do not accept non-numeric or negative numbers.
The problem that I am having is that I do not know how to display which was the best and worst month. I imagine I need something that targets the highest/lowest number and finds the text in the corresponding index but I'm not sure how to do this.
