Aug 24, 2011I decided to rewrite my project. Hit another snag. How do I write the contents from a datagrid to a file and back into the datagrid again later? (Actually, I've done the writing ok - but for the life of me can't get the data back into a blank datagrid.
Here's what I done so far:

When i select the check box autopostback is true, and this would then show the image, but i cant access the images within the datagrid with that script. If i use a seperate image outside of the datagrid the script works. How can i get this script to work finding when the checkbox out side of the datagrid is checked to then show the image within the datagrid?

Aug 11, 2011While working with an excel file (.xlsx), the data I get from it is an IEnumerable(of Dictionary). When I bind this to my datagrid, I get the problem that I only see 2 columnsI've been tracing this problem and discovered that in the first row in the excel, there are only 2 values (cell C and D). I think the binding to datagrid looks at this first row to create its headers. This results in my datagrid only showing columns C and D.

Dec 20, 2011I'm in the process of adapting a current program that I've created to automate it. **Current State***User selects an excel file and the contents are loaded into a DataGrid User can select which environment to run their query against (stage/prod) Program completes processing and updates datagrid with new values User can export datagrid to excel What I'd like to do is centralize the program on one computer and have it monitor a network folder for creation of a specific file type (*.xls or *.xlsx). If one of these is created in that folder then I want to add that file to a queue for processing. Once done processing I want to send the results as an attachment to an email to the user that created the file. After a file is processed I would like to remove it from that folder as well (into a diff folder of completed items).

May 10, 2011I am trying to create a code where I placed sets of numbers in an array.I'll use a masktextbox to have the user enter the numbers to match what's in the array. If the user enters the number, ex: social, and the data is correct (matches the numbers in the array), something happens if the number entered in the masktextbox does not match any of the number sets in an array then another thing happens.The masktextbox so far only validates format and gets number only, however, I want the number entered to match whats in the array.

Sep 8, 2011I want more customization then the original VS 2010 set up files. So i decided to code everything. For example, i put all my files in my debug folder into my installer.vb's My.Resources. So i usedSystem.IO.File.WriteAllText ---> to install all my files and the .exe one.Everything was installed it except my Ethup Bolt New Build.exe. It shows up in the folder after installation, but when i click on it, it didnt run at all. (It showed up in the task manger, under process, but it disappeared after like 5secs.) So it didnt

Jun 11, 2011I've done a lot of work to customize the template for ContextMenu in my app, and it worked great as a "right-click" popup window.To my enormous surprise, when I wanted to add the same ContextMenu to a button to work as a kind of "drop-down" menu, it reverted back to the default template. It is really, really, weird, considering it's the exact same control I'm using, and when I right-click the button the template is the one I customized, but when I left-click it(and open it with ContextMenu.IsOpen = True) it uses the default template? I'm pretty baffled right now, and hope that this isn't one of the (many) quirks with WPF that will require me to write hundreds of lines of XML code to fix something that shouldn't even be an issue in the first place.

Sep 28, 2009is it possible to customize the properties of a form? for instance, i would like to start a new project, and have my form load center screen, not windows default location from the startup location, among many other options.if this is a possibility, from within vb.net, which i was not able to find and customize, do advise on how to do so.if i have to hack vb.net, i would not know where to start to do so, but how would i begin? what file do i need to modify in the program files folder of vb.net? this, by any means, i would not find it as a hack to destroy someone's work, but to better the software for the user.if a moderator reads this post , do consider my concern for customizing vb.net as vb.net customizes for the users..what i mean, is that, if this option is not available, mods, look into providing an update for vb.net to allow the customizing of the properties for forms/toolbox items and do reply to this thread w/a link.
unless vb 2o10 provides this option, which i doubt, and if it does and there are skins for vb.net 2o1o to change the tab look to the 2oo8 vb.net look, do not advise to look toward the 2o1o version.. personally, the 2o1o tabs are ridiculous, the font in the code window could have been the same as vb.net 2oo8 also.
