DB/Reporting :: Fill Access Database Table From Dataset?

I have 2 databases that I am working with. One is a compant customer database and the other is my personal call log. Now I am creating a front end for the Call Log. I was updating my customer list by Importing 2 tables from the customer database, a series of queries would erase all of my info, take all the data from the imported tables and move it into mine then erase the imported tables.
Im trying to accomplish the same in my VB frontend. I can connect and fill datasets from the customer database. I can erase my tables. How do I take all of this data from the newly created dataset and move it over to my empty tables?
I think this may be a usual issue but I am not able to find much info. There is a master customer database and a call log database at work. The call log database has two tables that are updated from the master database monthly. Now I am writing this vb frontend for the call log database and cannot figure out the update portion

I have a dataset (WW1Dataset) with one data table(WW1).(database used in an access database) I'm trying to filter the dataset e.g a user wants to filter by a chosen surname (SurnameTextBox.text) so the datset is filtered to display only those records wherethe surname column in the dataset matches SurnameTextBox.text.
Trying to make a vb.net program that is able to read values from an access database and pass them into some data sets. Here is the code I have so far, with the error line between the two dotted lines:
I have text boxes binded to table from dataset. I make changes, i save changes.. then I open database with access, i can see changes...everything is ok... Then I open application again, changes are there, everything is ok. Then I close application and go to smoke.. when I come back and open application , the new data is gone. what's happening? I think what I have here is an environmental issue. When I attempt to fill a dataset from a VFP table I am getting an error message that says "Index Not Found". The reason I feel its environmental is because the process was working perfectly fine last week. The client I am trying to run this program for runs it once per month to integrate one of their FoxPro systems with SQL. It's been in working order since November of last year, but suddenly now I'm getting this error. Some things I have looked at already are updating VFP drivers for both OleDB and ODBC.

I am creating a form for entering technical data about a part into an Access database. In the same form I have several ComboBoxs that need to have their lists filled from the same reference table in my database. I have a number and unit field for the twist and bending radius properties. I made the unit fields ComboBoxes and I am trying to bind them to referance table in my database called UnitsLength. The relevant structure is as follows....
Form: NewPartForm Database: CableDataSet Main Table: PartMechanical - with fields: TwistNom, TwistUnits, BendingRadiusNom, BendingRadiusUnits Reference Table: UnitsLength - with fields: Unit, Shorthand, Conversion Factor
First tired the following settings.... Data Source: Other Data Sources > NewPartForm List Instances > CableDatase Display Member: UnitsLength.Shorthand Value Member: UnitsLength.Unit SelectedValue: PartMechanicalBindingSource > [The associated unit field]
But the lists didn't populate.... Then I tried these settings Data Source: UnitsLengthBindingSource Display Member: Shorthand Value Member: Unit SelectedValue: PartMechanicalBindingSource > [The associated unit field] But now every ComboBox displays the same value but still stores the data in the proper field... it just sets them all the same.
i'm using vb 2008 express editor, and 3.5 compact sql, through my program, i make changes, like altering rows, deleting or adding new rows, to a dataset. i want, that when button 1 is pressed, all changes made to that dataset, are updated to my database. what is the line of code that does this? How can I update local dataset with mysql database without making duplicates. Assuming I set some column in mysql as primary key, which has unique string.
adapter.fill will just add duplicates, but adapter.clear before that is not an option.
So I want to update if the key column is the same with mysql data and if there is option for ignore adding new row.
This may seem like a simple problem, but I am completely baffled. I am working on a timekeeping application using Visual Basic 2008 Express and Access 2000.
There are three tables being updated by three separate sub routines. Two work fine, one does not.
In trying to resolve the issue I test one field at a time. The test Access query and the code only reference the one field to change and two ID fields. The program runs but the field is not updated. The table has 42 fields to be updated when I get it working.

When I pause the running program at the intRowsAffected it shows 1 record which is correct.
I am really out of options as tho where to go from here. There are no simple spelling errors in the parameters, there are no error messages and the sub runs to the end.
This is probably a simple process but I can't seem to accomplish it for the life of me. What I'm trying to do is transfer user inputted data from a Visual Basic text box into an Access database. The database consists of only one table with three fields: First Name, Last Name, and ID Number (auto-increment primary key). The VB code I have so far is this:

There are two combo boxes taking user's inputs to return a record in an Access Database satisfying the requirements. This procedure is controlled by a button. However, when it reads "da.Fill(dt, "NETP_ParaList")". It reports error saying that "ArgumentException was unhandled; Object is not an ADODB.RecordSet or an ADODB.Record. Parameter name: adodb" I have no idea what this talking about.
I have got problem when using the SQLCommandBuilder class. For me it throws an error saying that the select statement does not return any primary columns.... Which is weird becouse i am sure it does since the select statement is "SELECT * FROM MyTable" I am prety sure that selects everything including the primary column which is set to primary , realy i checked and doublechecked.
Secondly i tried to manually set the column(0) as primary by setting it's property bu no such luck of making it work.

This Functtion fills the dataset and returns it to my main program where i do lovely stuff with it. (Just as a side note this is a SCADA system and i always need the entire DB which is never bigger then just a few ( 6 ) entries so i must go for "*" ^^). Good part is, this works like a charm, i love it. Now i need to reset a few status bits etc and i assume with the update command. And that is where my joy starts to get stomped on a bit.... The code:

Now this would have been a great and small sollution to updating datasets with the server but obviously it doesn't work. There is that pesky error about my table having no primary key and I know it's lying it just want to annoy me :P. But seriously I am puzzeld why that error wont go away and i have exhausted all the tutorials i can find on this.
I have been told that the best way to do a search in VB is to fill an array with ALL the records from a table in a database and then filter the records from the array, instead of using the SQL statement Where.
I am trying to copy a table from a network database to a local database. I used DAO and could check if the network table existed using a function that tried to assign a TableDef object to the table in question. If there was no error then I assumed that the table existed and the function returned true...Or it would error out and return false.I could then proceed with the copy or not as the case may be.I am converting the code to ADO.net and need to know how to check for a table. I have a table in Access called 'tblRealTime' with a few rows of data and I want to display it in a DataGridView object on my form. When I run the program I get no errors but nothing shows up in the datagrid. My code is below:

I have a table I made in MS Access and I want to import/display that table into a DataGridView.I am VERY amateur but I am able to pick apart some code and see what is happening.The thing I know I need is a connection between the two programs but again, have no idea about how to pull it off.I have the free version of VB(2008 Express Edition)
