Here is a sample piece of my code, the problem that I am have is that I can only selected one record at a time to mail merge, regardless if I select 5 rows from the datagrid. Or I can mail merge the entire datagrid, but I want my users to be able to select the data that they want, whethere it is 1 or 5 rows and be able to mail merge based off the selection. I've been pulling my hair out over this, I know it is something simple that I am missing....Please help...I am working in VB.NET visual studio 2008

I have two text files. The first text file has the format:
ID h1 h2 h3
a 1 5 7
b 3 3 5
c 0 4 8
And the second file:
ID h4 h5 h6
a 2 4 9
b 3 6 1
b 4 1 5
Now I want to merge two files. The output likes
ID h1 h2 h3 h4 h5 h6
a 1 5 7 2 4 9
b 3 3 5 3 6 1
b 4 1 5
c 0 4 8
The two files has the same rows and columns. For the first rows(except header) in the two files, they have the same first column. Therefore just a simple append. The final first row becomes
a 1 5 7 2 4 9
The question is in the first only has one
b
and the second file has two
I want the maximum count of items from each list in the resultant list. I put some white spaces after "b" then append strings.
b 4 1 5
For key "c", because it is only in the first file and not in the second file, so I append white spaces after the corresponding strings.

I need to write a method in C# to save all rows in a given datatable back to the database, but I cannot depend on the rowstate of each row. I can't think of how best to do this without extensive looping through the database table data or constant database querying.

In my datagrid, i added a checkbox column, and what i want to do is be able to change the value of one column (in as many rows that are selected) to a certain value. Like from a combo box is it possible to have a combobox in a messagebox? or do you have to create a new form?

This simply doesn't do anything becuase it thinks the target table doesn't have a primary key.

When referring to a list or group in .net, generally, it starts with 0 as the first item, but concerning the starting place in an Access table the first row is considered 1. Is this correct and, thus, represented in the code below?

I am using MSHFLEXGRID control to display data from an access-database table. The grid contains entries some of which are to be selected by the user but I want some of the rows to be disabled/skipped(avoid selection of those rows). I have grayed out the unusable rows and dont want the gray rows to be selected.

I am working on Treeview control and Gridview Control VB.NET08. In the Treeview i have Parent and Child Nodes. Like: [Code] Comparing the Parent Node text and first two digits in the Column values. I want to add rows inbetween the gridview rows based on the parent and Child Nodes. If i expand the First Parent Node Called "31" then according to the Number of Child Nodes (for first parent node(31) there are 5 child nodes.) add rows in the gridview.
These New rows should be add under the 31-xxxx. If i expand the 32 Parent Node based on number of Child Nodes, add rows under the 32-xxxx. [Code] I am getting the rows in the end of the Gridrow not in the Specific row.

How would i delete only the successful inserted rows for insert and then move the non successful rows up and allow the user to correct the data and get it ready for an insert. If i dont delete the successful rows then i will have multiple inserts of the same dataRow and we dont want that! AND if i dont move the data up then it will have blank rows uptop and will end the try and not insert the corrected data. You can better see what logic i am trying to perform at the bottom of my code, right after I insert into the database. Here is my code.

I have three sub tables that I want to process. For each I want to combine the rows, as they are only different by contents in the second column(I want to do the same to the fourth column, later):

I am making a game and decided to add a high score section. I currently have this code setup to insert and read from the database, I set the insert code to a bottom just for testing purposes.[code]There are three columns in the database rank, score and name. 1) I have a checkbox field in a datagrid, and when you check the box, it highlights the entire current row, and when you check the next one, it stops highlighting the first one and highlights the one I just clicked on. What I would like to know is how can I keep all the rows with a checkbox highlighted?
2) I have a column in my datagrid that I have changed to combobox and I did two things both gives me this error, first I inserted the values for the combobox in the collection. Second, I connected to one of the tables with a binding source and has one of the columns as the options (advisors).
Each student has a different advisor so the field gets set to the correct advisor each time but the problem I am getting is when I scroll (doesn't happen for a little while) I get an error so i put in this sub to handle it and the error message box says: Error Happened Formatting, Display.

I have the code listed above as a translation from a Java snippet. The problem i have is that in Java, my table was stored as a dataset and as such, the methods were easily identifiable by "getRow" and getCell" using specific numbers and column names. However in VB the information is stored in an MS Access database (which i already have an open connection to, called: "_SalesPerformance_AnalyticsToolDatabaseDataSet12") and as such i do not know the correct way in which to iterate through each row in the database, checking a specific column against an already specified variable and then returning an integer based upon the value of a seperate column in the same row.
